If you’re super young and still learning about the things around you, even a shop can blow your mind. So when Zira, the cutest half Corgi puppy on the planet, and her human went to Target, she just couldn’t handle the excitement. Her infectious ear-to-ear smile is taking Twitter by storm, and it’ll brighten your day.
“This was her second trip to a shopping mall, although her first one she just slept the entire time,” her owner Jesse told Bored Panda. “She reminded us so much of Rose from Titanic, the way she leaned against the front of the cart, looking out into the world of Target for the first time! We could tell she loved it so much.” Zira, the cute Corgi and Mini Aussie mix is only 4 months old, so she’s constantly looking for anything she can chew. “She loves getting new toys, ones that squeak, crinkle, or bounce. And since she’s our first pet dog, she gets spoiled as much as possible!”
On Twitter, photos of this happy dog’s amazing time at the shop have accumulated over 487K likes and 127K retweets, bringing instant fame to the Monterey, CA-based puppy.
But that trip earned Zira some real love, too. “While we were turning a corner, this woman shopping saw her and freaked out,” Jesse said. “She couldn’t stop going on and on about what a cute dog Zira was. Zira just started licking her, and the woman loved it. She even picked our adorable dog up and let her kiss her face!”

Turns out, Zira wasn’t the first furball to enjoy a trip to Target
Not all shops, however, allow pets and not all animals enjoy such a commotion. Be careful while putting your little one inside a shopping trolley
I work in retail and everyone thinks this is cute but its not. I cant tell you how many shopping carts have been soiled by dogs. Sometimes we find out and clean them but im sure many times they just return the cart for some unsuspecting customer to use. Imagine all the things you buy coming in contact with that. There are many other reason only service dogs should be aloud and even service dogs should not be in the carriage because of hygiene issues. Not cool very selfish! I feel very strongly about this i have seen a lot in 30 years of retail.
Can totally confirm (also worked in retail) our carts were pressure washed 4 times a year but who knows in between. I had to run away and hide a laugh when one of my managers told a woman her dog can't be in the cart. Her response? "Why not, you let people's nasty little kids in there?" Lol
Actually, she had a point.... :-)
Animals are cleaner than some of the people I've seen shopping at Target.
Caitlyn, me and my sister get allergic reactions from touching things that a dog has touched. Someone walking their dog won't hurt me but coming in to contact with dog dander will. Allergy pills barely work so I can't just not be allergic. Your uncle probably has a less severe allergy but for people like me, dogs are dangerous.
The thing is I'm not allergic to humans. I'm allergic to dogs and so are other people who might not want to have an allergic reaction while shopping
I'm sorry but my service dog is probably cleaner and better behaved than most of the children who go into these stores. I don't condone bringing in animals just for the fun of it but to say that it's a huge mic issue is a little ridiculous. Do you know how many children I have watched put fruit in their mouth and then back on the shelves, or just squat and pee in the middle of an aisle...
Nobody is arguing with service dogs being allowed in stores. Also? Service dogs are clearly better trained than your average pup.
*hygiene not huge mic AND people with animals usually are more conscious of their pets then people with children
maybe your dog is well-behaved, but you are not. "people with animals usually are more conscious of their pets then people with children" -> any research to prove it or you're just being a dick?
My husband worked in retail for years and he agrees with you 100%
And how many people handle those carts? Pick their noses before grabbing onto the cart handle, sneeze into their hands while shopping, sit their kids with the dirty shoes/dirty diapers in those carts and who knows what else. Unless those carts are washed and sanitized after every use (totally impractical), I can guarantee you that there is a whole host of bacteria lounging on them.
we actually dont allow it in our stores. people manage to sneak them in but this stuff needs to be reported. ive seen dogs go through the market area. i have a dog and the onyl store we go to are pet stores. i never take her anywhere where its a people only place.
I agree. Not cute. Very selfish.
"allowed"
Kids are dirtier than dogs! I get sick every time I'm around children. Dogs, not so much. As long as the dog doesn't poop in the cart what's the problem. Kids are actually pooping in the carts lol!
yeah, not true. unless you have some research to back that up. there's bacteria everywhere, being it dog, child or your own hands.
The dogs is probably safer and cleaner to be around than most humans you interact with anyway!
* allowed not aloud
We get so busy saying how cute, and they are but we never think of what you mentioned. Well said. Thanks for opening our eyes.

I completely disagree....I can also spell...if you had been educated you would be more evolved.
Pets should never be taken into stores (other than pet stores) unless they are service animals. Shame on you.
Didn't she say this Target allowed pets though? I have a service dog, and even though he's legal and legit, (I'm legally blind), I still run into people in grocery stores who have a fit. I have to tell them they are discriminating against an American with a Disability, and then they are sorry, but a few remain a-holes! If your dog isn't a service dog, or animal, it should not be allowed in a store, unless the store says it's okay. It's then up to customers to decide whether they choose to shop there or not.
Depends on local culture. In Germany, dogs are on public transportation, in stores, in restaurants, and no one thinks twice about it. People train their dogs well and you almost never see a dog cause a problem - even when they encounter other dogs.
Fuck off, Leann and Shannon.

Oh calm your pants, you old bag.
Zira is insanely cute! Sure, dirty doggy paws I'm the basket are gross, but then again, how about drippy chicken or beef water from people's meat purchases, dirt from fresh produce, pesticides from unwashed produce, leaks from household chemical purchases, leaks from dirty diapers, and who-knows-what from toddlers' shoes? Germs are just everywhere. At least doggy germs come with cute!
Target has a corporate policy against pets in stores. Doesn't matter if the dog is "cute!!" Honestly wouldn't matter anyway, have you heard of health codes? Dogs are not allowed in stores that sell food, you know like Target. The dog has to stay home. This has nothing to do with whether you think the dog is super cute riding in the basket or if "other gross things go in there".

Rules are made for people unable to use common sense. It seems that you are one of those dogged rule-followers. Shannon, get over it.
You mentioned everything but dog poop! Forgot that did ya!
Your country is on the brink of nuclear war and your arguing about dirty doggy paws in shopping baskets. You are your own undoing.
Luke, we have nothing to worry about, we have technology to make sure his nukes never reach our shores. on the other hand, his people will starve before he ever gets the ability to do any damage. go bother someone else.
