Neil Patrick Harris Just Unveiled His Family’s 2017 Halloween Cosplay, And It’s Even Better Than Last Year

Family Halloween costumes may seem like the lamest idea you could possibly have, but actor Neil Patrick Harris and his husband, David Burtka, are proving otherwise. Every year since 2011, ‘NPH’ and his clan have been putting together the coolest costume ensembles for All Hallows’ Eve, and they just dropped their latest one on Instagram. This is 100% not a trick, and these are probably the greatest Halloween costume ideas that you’ll see tonight.

From The Wizard of Oz to Gotham’s Finest, to Star Wars, the Harris-Burtka quartet – including twins Gideon and Harper – always pulls off whatever Halloween costumes they choose flawlessly, leaving fans on the edge of their seat each October to see what they’ll do next. This year’s edition just went online 10 hours ago and has already racked up more than 422 thousand likes. It’s almost better than a pillowcase full of candy, a full-on Halloween party, and a scary movie marathon.

What creative costumes did they go with this time around? You’ll just have to scroll down and see for yourself.

Great fun costumes but I'm confused - their kids don't seem to be aging... They are seven but look about 4.

I noticed that myself- they'll be those 40 year olds that look 20-ish when they grow up, heh.

Jonathan, what a ridculous thing to say. First, it's a Halloween post, if you want to talk about world problems, this isn't the place. Second, are rich people not allowed to have fun as long as poor people exist? Third, I doubt you have a clue how much NPH does for charities, either way it's none of your business. Unless you are giving every last spare penny to help the poor you have no business calling anyone else out on it. After all, charity isn't about how much you donate, it's that you do what you can. Have you done ALL you can Jonathan? Have you had a drink lately, or a meal at a restaurant? Couldn't that extra money have gone to the poor?
