Whilst protests in America have erupted over the past few years, there’s one recurring character taking his own message to the streets. You might recognize Seth Phillips as the guy in sunglasses holding a cardboard sign and protesting random things, no matter how weird or strange they are. But the best thing is, we can relate to most of what this NYC protestor has to say.

So, if you’ve ever felt like your voice and opinion doesn’t matter in the vast world, then ‘Dude With Sign’ is here to prove you wrong. He calls out the annoying things that we wish we had the guts to tell others. Yes, there should be more chips and less air in bags! H-hey, first-world problems are still problems, o-okay?

We collected the very best of his funny protest signs, so scroll down and enjoy! Let us know which ones you agree with the most from this unsung hero. When you're ready, check out our second collection of Seth's brilliant signs as well.

There are some annoying things that I can relate to here and want to call out too. Nobody wants to watch a dozen video stories of you at a concert, seriously. And to the guy that keeps hitting 'reply all' on our company emails: you need to stop. You’re fighting the good fight, Seth — keep it up with your funny protest signs, this is how we make changes in the world.

While protesting random things does give us a good laugh, the role of humor in peaceful protest culture is no joke. According to one study, humor helps frame political protests, aids in creating a social movement’s collective identity, and is a powerful communication tool.

Look at the amount of ounces on the bag. That is what you're getting. The air is to protect you from getting a bag of crumbs.

I'm 6ft6. I will stand up at the earliest possible moment (when the seatbelts light goes out) so I can unfold my legs. On longer flights, I even prefer to stand during the flight.

What’s more, humor energizes protests and brings protesters closer together through shared positive experiences. To put it simply, humor and funny signs are a weapon of the people and shouldn’t be taken lightly.

There are many innovative ways to support a cause that you care about. So, when you’re done looking through this list, check out Bored Panda’s previous articles about an Indian painter who highlighted awful roads by pretending to be an astronaut, as well as about a woman who showed her managers that wearing high heels as part of dress code is incredibly uncomfortable when you're working for 12 hours per day.

OK, yeah this. How about I just turn it off when I'm ready Netflix? I don't need you to tell me how to watch TV.

Its in an attempt to control potentially wasted bandwidth usage at the streaming servers and keep speeds steady for other users.

The greatest disappointment of my life was when I lost the TV remote and instead of automatically going to the next episode, it was stuck on the "ARE YOU STILL WATCHING SCREEN" and I was like DARN IT MY PHONE IS DEAD

Yep. Excuse me, but I'd like to a) be able to just do the washing up without my stuff pausing and b) not end up with water and soap suds all over the remote, thank you!

Sometimes it’s good. Like once I fell asleep on my couch watching Netflix and I woke up at 3 am to go to my bed and nextflix was asking me if I was still watching. Amazingly I didn’t miss a lot on my show lol 😂

There are times when everyone has left the room, fallen asleep, etc, when "are you still watching" has been real useful. I'm personally real thankful for it.

Sometimes I get involved doing something else, so it actually comes in handy! When I notice the quiet for too long, I check the tv again and that is what it says! Yes, the I have to click it again. Well, I pay for it so I can do just that!

I've had Netflix for years and never seen this question. How long do you have to watch before it pops up? If you get that message, you need to take a long hard look at your choices in life.

Eh, no. Created to prevent using too much data on phones and other mobile devices. Still valuable, but not as important with unlimited plans (but, unless you want throttled...)

If people were responsible streamers then there wouldn't be a need for this notification. But to utilize the bandwidth while you're sleeping or have walked away and forgotten about it is why they do this. Netflix accounts for 15% of all internet traffic worldwide. They have to make sure people are actually watching what they're streaming.

Yes! Too many now. Netflix was created because there were too many channels fighting for space, it filled a need. Now practically every channel has a streaming service and we’re back to square 1.
