Put More Chips In The Bag
Look at the amount of ounces on the bag. That is what you're getting. The air is to protect you from getting a bag of crumbs.
I asked someone smart about this. They told me that it is nitrogen gas so the chips can be stored longer without going stale so fast and also to act as a cushion. Google confirmed, but that doesn’t mean I like it

I bought a bag of air and the company was kind enough to throw in a few potato chips.
There's also a reason why there's so much air in the bag, and it isn't to make you think you're getting more. It's to protect the chips during shipping and handling. If you think there are a lot of crumbs in a bag of chips now, it would be a lot worse if they actually did put more chips in the bag.

Well I totally agree to this! Why not put more chips if they put some air on it. 60 to 70% of the bag is the air thing that keeps the chips crispy and 40 to 30% is the actual thing that you bought but they sold it to you expensively.
I'm with you. All you get when you buy a bag of chips is mostly air. So, I don't buy bags of chips any longer.
There is air in the bag to prevent your chips from being crushed into crumbs. Fool.
The amount of air in chips bags is there for a reason: it keeps the chips from cracking! Of course not all chips can be protected from cracking, but if a bag would have as much chips in it as possible, you would have much more cracked ones and people would also complain. Just buy bigger bags, if available.
It's not air fun fact its I forget what gas but the gas stops the chips from going bad or getting stale
