“If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything,” states the description on Dude With Sign's Instagram account. And the guy means it.

He stands for free guacamole, more chips than air in the bag, making it illegal to charge $15 for a bowl of lettuce, or honking as soon as the light turns green, and these are just a handful of things Dude has been protesting for. Today, Dude has made himself into a sort of an icon of the professional peaceful protest league, with 7.3m avid followers cheering for his low-key micro demonstrations.

Armed with a board and a marker, Dude is back with some fresh signs for y’all to think about. Scroll down, upvote your favorites, and after you’re done, be sure to check out more of his funny posters in our previous part 1 and part 2.

Back in 2019, Seth Philips and Elliot Tabele took to the streets of New York City’s SoHo neighborhood to hold up a cardboard sign with the message “Stop replying-all to company-wide emails.” The pic was meant for Tabele’s personal Instagram account, but as the followers grew, the duo decided to make a whole new page dedicated to their low-key protests, and that’s how @dudewithsign was created.

Seth told Forbes that they get the protest and sign ideas mainly from their work environment and coworkers. It turns out, office fun can be an endless source of inspiration for first-world problems.

“When creating the protests, we try to come up with something funny that is relatable that people don't particularly talk about. We try to have each of these elements while appealing to every type of person, which is a big part of why I think the account has accumulated as many followers as it has.”

ALM was a counter-movement created to silence Black Lives Matter, simply because a huge majority of people can't wrap their minds around a simple notion. Thank you for this sign, dude.

The @dudewithsign page quickly grew past the initial 4m followers and now has a whopping 7.3m followers on Instagram, as well as 248.6K followers on Twitter. In January, Seth and his witty signs appeared on The Ellen Show, where they helped Ellen DeGeneres with her opening speech.

Seth also told Forbes that at this point, he’s still trying to figure the future out. “Maybe continue making funny accounts? There are interesting opportunities that I would have never imagined coming my way with this all the time,” he said in the same interview.

True! I always stop trailers at half. It‘s annoying when twists are revealed in the trailer.

Unfortunately, regarding working, I'm expecting it to be a new norm; companies will save a fortune not renting office space.

Not necessarily. Our company prefers us to use their offices and their computers because we're handling sensitive information and virtual security is super important, and more difficult to manage when your employees are at home.

Hey, at least you don't have to drive to work. Plus with new technology, you can control your office computer from home and therefore can do everything from home. Our employer uses a swap system so some people stay at home and the other do the physical work at work. Then on wednesday the groups flip and the cycle repeats.

If it works for the employer and employee, I see no problem with people working from home if it is at all possible/viable... stops people from getting stuck in rush hour traffic twice a day (and reduces traffic for those of us whose jobs require them to drive).

This is funny, but Zoom and all that goes with it is forever. You might see a 'hybrid,' but some workers will never return (some offices are already purposely and permanently closing).

Yes it is!! Less cars, less traffic. I live not far from an airport. I eventually got used to the noise, but it's been so quiet since April, I can actually hear the birds sing. I've really enjoyed my back yard this summer and the quiet walks in my neighborhood. I'm really dreading the return of all the noise when things get back to "normal'

I still haven't used Zoom. If rude people crash conversations with images of private parts and very foul language, I have no need or desire to make myself and my family & friends vulnerable to abuse.

For schools, online classes have been terribly unproductive, especially for students like me who could work better in the usual system of physical school. On the other hand, online classes have worked better for other students (our classes start later, they're more tech-savvy, etc). I don't think any of our teachers would ever like to go back to Zoom when this is all over, however! 😂

Actually, maybe teachers get less student disciplining to do with online classes? I'll need to ask my niece who teaches grade 4. But she is back in class since sept.

I actually do. Twice a day on office days. Because I commute. When working from home, not so much, not needed. But really, your phone hygiene is needed regardless of the pandemic. It helps keeping your skin clean.

Good to remind myself of this. Especially when there are so many people displaced right now from the wildfires and hurricanes, plus the continuing problem of homelessness...

Or they can be very annoying. I've lost 50 lbs since Feb, and I hate those who post their daily WO and are constantly posting pics of themselves. I find it narcissisticI To each their own I guess
