Move Aside Grumpy Cat, Loki Is The New Grumpiest Cat In The World
117Kviews
Some animals are cute and fluffy, some exciting and dangerous-looking, and some, well... grumpy. Meet Loki, a Sphynx cat who looks like an old man shouting at you to get off his lawn.
Loki lives with his human family - Sara and Brent from Brooklyn, NY. "This adorable cat has more personality and sass than any animal I have ever met," Sara told to a blog Girls And Their Cats. "We are inseparable. We are best friends."
The hairless cat came into the couple's lives a day before Halloween in 2014, after months of searching, as Brent is allergic to cats, so adopting a pet animal for them had more challenges than it usually does. "Loki is incredibly affectionate, cuddly, and chatty. Our silly cat loves napping on our bellies, eating chicken and scrambled eggs, and receiving hearty head scratches."
"Shortly after we adopted this unusual cat, I started an Instagram page solely dedicated to Loki. His Instagram page quickly picked up a following, noticeably for his seemingly grumpy cat demeanor and unique look."
"Loki has helped me return to creative and optimistic parts of myself that were misplaced while I was feeling unmotivated and sad. Animals are incredible healers and I am eternally grateful for Loki's companionship and generous loyalty. This cute cat is truly one of a kind."

The CEO isn't pleased about this quarter's losses. Catnip has hit a new low.
When you go to the store and find something you think looks cute, but when you put it on you're like:
"Why, yes Kurt it was I who left a dead mouse in your shoe, it was I who pee'd in your coffee, it was I who shat on your pillow, and it is I who will drive you insane. Why you ask? Alice is my woman Kurt and you should have known that from the start. Now, see yourself out before the dogs I hired show up to hump your leg and chew it off."
You just had to add the fake Halloween hand, didn't you. Now I look like a Bond villain. How--plebeian.
Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of.....well crap this isn't gonna work!
Do not ever let this thing get wet , or feed it after midnight, oh wait you already did.
This looks like a photo taken in a French chateau 50 years ago with the lighting and the minimalist decor. Very cool.
"So help me Kurt, if you throw one more sock at me and yell 'you're free' I am going to claw you where the sun don't shine."
I feel sorry for sphinx cats, it is a breed developed by humans to be hairless, this is unnatural for a cat. They suffer terribly from the cold and can get sunburn and skin cancers. I know this couple have an issue with cat allergies, but it is the cats that suffer.
I completely agree. This one poor guy doesn't even have whiskers! I would look pissed as fuck too, in his case. If the couple adopted him as in "not bought from a breeder", I'm slightly mollified since every pet deserves a good home, no matter what happened to them or how they look. But I really don't think it's a good thing that we get shown all those pictures of misshapen cats (like Loki but also those poor snub-nosed cats or the ones with wrinkly ears and short legs!) and dogs (pugs!), because it creates the desire to own such an animal in people who wouldn't want them otherwise. If someone wants a naked pet, how about a mole-rat? Or fish. But every animal has specific needs, and fur is part of that. Ugh. Poor Loki.
I really like this comment wish I could upvote it 10 more times
Agreed. Whoever started this breed should be charged with animal cruelty.
I think that all hairless breeds should stop being bred. That and dogs like pugs that have such short noses that they can't breath well. All of it is inhuman.
Thanks for the facts, I never knew any of this, so I wiki'd the breed, it's really new, like only been around sine the 1960's, and the cats have problems with breeding that comes from such a small pool of potential mates. 34% have heart conditions, that really is terrible, they should not be encouraged, plus it's not hair that allergy sufferers are allergic to its a protein in the saliva, so that's no excuse for it. I'm not saying its ugly or should be destroyed but maybe not actively creating more? And if this couple really loves their cat they could spreading the word about why they have to put the poor thing in sweaters.
The Sphynx is a natural mutation, NOT developed by humans. Responsible breeders also outcross their cats with Devon Rex, Cornish Rex, and American Shorthairs to keep the gene pool strong. Backyard breeders are the problem, dumping sick and genetically inferior cats on the market. I'm on my third Sphynx, ALL RESCUES, because people dump them in shelters once the "cool" factor wears off.
I just wanted to start a rant that breeding really goes too far here, but you said it much better.
Agreed
This will get lots of downvotes (I am just stating my opinion) (PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG) but this is what happens with the amount of breeding animals go through and often cruel breeding like animal in a cage and breed them and breed them again cruel! When I see this kind of thing it makes me very angry however like I said at the start I WOULD LOVE TO BE CORRECTED!

You must be great at parties.
Please explain why?
Alex, first of all I’m to lazy to spell out your whole name so I’m calling u Alex, got a problem with that? Then. Hmmm... then talk to my mind! And also where did “parties” come from? We are talking about the bad things about why Sphinx cats shouldn’t be bred (I don’t think anyone should buy any dog or cat from a breeder, get one from a rescue shelter instead) but the key word is “BAD” and most parties are happy, so what are u thinking about? Are u playing to many video games?
