195€ for a cardboard frame...to make a chair out of dirt...are they kidding?? Yes the idea is really nice (bit hipster in the presentation) but... Not sure one need a frame for that. And even then, not too difficult to build a frame from some discarded cardboard or wood.
It will probably cost you 5-10€ in cardboard to make this yourself, or just use post boxes (wouldn't even matter if they are a to small). With max 30 min of cutting you should be done, but you still end up with an ant hill you can't mown or move in/out the shade.
Load More Replies...If they used herbs, then you could eat your way to a decent seat!
Load More Replies...So, what happens when the cardboard gets wet? Will it make the chair collapse eventually? A chair like that is not ment to be moved around, and I can't believe that it will last for long at one place. It's still a nice idea, if you like sitting on grass but enjoy a higher platform as well
I think the cardboard is only there be used as general structure. After been filled with dirt it isn't necessary. Wait...in fact it wasn't really necessary to begin with! :P
Load More Replies...What a cool idea! So much better than a plastic chair. However, I'd feel the need to check and make sure no ants have taken up residence in my chair before sitting. ~HR
