Famous Tattoo Artist Offers To Ink People For FREE If They Agree To Put Their Arms In A Hole For A Surprise

It might be quite shocking, discovering how much your dream tattoo might cost and the saying “what you pay for is what you get” strongly comes in play here. However, Scott Campbell, a well-known tattoo artist based in the Williamsburg part of Brooklyn, New York, has created the ultimate test of trust in his work: he offers free tattoos to people as long as he gets to choose the design and not show it to them until it’s done. The name of his project, playing on everyone’s favorite truck-stop delight, is “Whole Glory.”

Not so long ago tattoos were meant for sailors, freak-show entertainers, and general low-lives, but as you can see from the works of Scott Campbell, the fine lines and intricate details might even suit the Queen herself (though she might not need to worry about finding a way to getting a tattoo for free).

The trust these people place in him when they stick their hands through the wall for a free tattoo isn’t unfounded – Campbell has tattooed celebs like Marc Jacobs, Orlando Bloom, and Penelope Cruz. Nonetheless, he does thank each person for their trust in him and his art. What do you think of the work he did?

Tattoos are way to personal and permanent to be done randomly.......But props to the this tattoo artist for finding a clever way to get practice and the chance to experiment freely.

I think the trust required to do this make is personal in and of itself. The tattoo has a story because of it's creation, rather than getting a tattoo to honor a past story.

Tattoos are supposed to be personal to the person wearing them, not the artist. I wouldn't even wear pants that were not picked by me, let alone a tattoo.

And then you end up with something on your arm that you don't like or even hate... To me these tattoos don't even look that good (or they're just weird) an eye with a rose coming out or the half skull/pattern... (If you like stuff like that, good but I wouldn't be happy with something like that on my arm :P ) It might be a free tattoo but you might not like the design and imo a tattoo should be something personal.

I have wanted so so badly to combine the tats I have into a sleeve or half sleeve tattoo. I just don't have the $$. And I'm really looking for a way or reason to keep living. I've read 101 ways to commit suicide and I know I have an issue when I actually think drowning myself is a good idea. I mean WTF

I see some comments about arm tats hurting your job prospects and I don't really see how that's a thing, at least for guys. The primary concern seem to be professional environments, but in every professional environment I've ever worked in I wear long sleeve button downs anyway. And of course a suit for the interview.
