Dad Forces Daughter To Go To School On Valentines Day After She Begs Him Not To Go But It’s For The Sweetest Reason
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! Romance! Gifts! Flowers! Yummy food! For some people however, Valentine’s Day is not something to look forward to but a day of dread and foreboding, a reminder of just how undesirable and unpopular they are.
This was the case for Twitter user Miss Sanders back in 10th grade. She wanted to stay home from school on Valentine’s Day because “I didn’t want to see everyone have presents and I not get shit.” Her dad had other ideas though, she was going to school and that was final.
So begins a beautiful little story of a caring, amazing father and his lucky little girl. Scroll down below to see how it unfolds, it will melt even the most cynical heart!

Share on FacebookReally sweet dad, but she was seriously not going to go to school because some of the girls get presents and she couldn’t stand to see it? I’m a bit grumpy because the girl in the cube next to mine has loudly cleared her throat 83 times in the last 73 minutes, and maybe my grumpiness is clouding my judgement, but doesn’t it seem like the dad is reinforcing this girl’s sense of entitlement? I thought I had jealousy issues, but Jesus... does he buy her presents on other peoples’ birthdays as well?
It's not because of jealousy but because of shame. Shame, that there is noone to give presents to HER. I can totally relate to that, maybe because I was a kind of outsider in school.
Load More Replies...Nice story (well, if you like this kind of sugary sweet Hallmark stuff), but why the use of the word "n***a"? I thought we as bored panda peeps hated racism and racist terms
I don't use the word...but apparently it's not racist if you use the "a" instead of the hard "r". People forget where the word originated. Sure, you can talk about taking power back...but I think it's bs. But what do I know, I'm white. I hear people of all colors use the word. Makes no sense to me. But again, I have a pinkish hue. Funny how my brethren don't go around calling each other kike and heeb.

My mom always calls me with wishes on Valentine's. I used to think it was awkward, but then realized that unconditional love isn't anything strange and Valentine's is a celebration of love in every way :)
No one should be getting Valentine's Day gifts from their dad. That's just wrong.
Call me rude, but this is simply poor. Cool dad, though. I always knew those girls who broke up with their current crush when he couldnt spare a dollar for her "very special rose" in time, and I always knew which of these girls bought roses FOR THEMSELVES and went like crazy "surprise, who could have sent me these..." . If this is a world in which you are weird when you get the smallest valentine's present AT SCHOOL, then I dont want to live on this planet anymore.

It is super embarrassing at that age to go to school on days like that and not get anything. When I was a junior in high school I had a similar situation and my mom (a single mother) sent me roses that said "from a secret admirer" It made my day and I was so thankful to my mom. These things matter to kids this age and this kind of gesture is a huge boost.
She looks so pretty and sweet, surprised she doesn't have all sorts of admirers on Valentine's Day!?
DADS! up your dad game! if you got dad jokes AND you look out for your kids emotional health(as well as all health) YOU DA BEST!
Aw, I’m sorry... My dad raised me by himself and I can’t imagine not having him. I hate thinking about the fact that he’s mortal. It must have been so difficult for you to lose him :(
