People Can’t Take Their Eyes Off A Giant Boob That Appeared In London To Make A Powerful Statement
London is well-known for having a diverse skyline, and as you can see from these pictures, the city just became even more distinct thanks to a giant inflatable breast that recently appeared in Shoreditch.
The oversized anatomy comes courtesy of Mother London, a British independent creative agency that hopes to raise awareness about the social stigmas surrounding breastfeeding. The giant boob appeared on Mother’s Day (March 26 in the UK) and it’s part of the #freethefeed campaign, a movement that promotes a non-judgmental approach to feeding. “It’s hard to believe that in 2017, UK mothers still feel watched and judged when feeding in public,” writes Mother London in a blog post. “This was our mother’s day project. A celebration of every woman’s right to decide how and where they feed their children without feeling guilty or embarrassed about their parenting choices.”

Share on FacebookIt makes me pleased that this will make so many judgemental people uncomfortable. Usually the same people that are happy with a massive billboard of a half naked girl selling something and not realise their hypocrisy. Hopefully this will make some people realise that if you have the right to eat, a baby has the right to be fed when they're hungry. It is disgusting to think that anyone could put their awkwardness/inability to not sexualise a boob before a hungry baby... If you don't like it, don't look!
It makes me uncomfortable but that's part of raising awareness and I welcome it. :)
Load More Replies...While I support women breastfeeding in public (except maybe not in restaurants. Personally I get a bit queasy when I see babies eating ANYTHING) and not seeing female nudity as something explicitly sexual, while male nudity is just brushed off, but I don't feel like "disembodied inflatable boob" was the most convincing method to go about spreading this message.
I agree - but I kinda think maybe they're saying - "hey! Here's a boob! Do you recognize it? If not, get used to it!" I don't have a problem with breast-feeding in public, but I kinda wonder about the women who tend to "shove it in people's faces". I always just gently laid a receiving blanket over the two of us. People knew precisely what was happening there LOL. but I wasn't "flaunting" ANYthing. Not trying to make a point, or anything LIKE that - just feeding my son.
Load More Replies...of course babies need to eat very often and it's natural. but some women somehow want to show off. some look for an argument, because yes. some think they are queens of the universe just because they have a baby. i think people have enough of arrogant stupid mothers, not just the natural act of breast feeding. i believe you can do it in public yet make it an intimate thing.
just speaking for myself BF was really hard and having to worry if anyone could see made it impossible. I never fed outside.
Load More Replies...I for one support women taking their boobs out whenever they feel like it.
Looks like people inventing something to be offended about. So now they want to rub it in everyone's face. If breastfeeding really is making people uncomfortable enough to act out somehow then shoving boobs in their face isn't the solution.
Look at the people in the picture. Nobody cares about the "boob'. I live in East Europe and there is absolutely no problem with feeding your baby in public cuz nobody cares, but in east we are more conservative ... West is going down the drain really fast.
When I'm feeding my son people will apologize and walk away when they notice what I'm doing. Even in a nursing room, it's like a surprise!!
Woods County Sheriff: Only one thing bothers me, though. That was a single. You're sure that was a single, now? Victor Shakapopulis: That was a single, yeah. Woods County Sheriff: Yeah, well, they usually travel in pairs.
What is the height of idiocy is that people are horrified to think that their children will get a glimpse of a bare female breast, when, for thousands of years, that is the first thing a child sees and latches onto. If it were not thus, the human race would have become extinct.
Plus the ridiculous fear of women's nipples, while men's nipples aren't banned or considered indecent...
I think they're afraid of the boner or sexy feeling they get when they see women's nipples, it's the only explanation I can come up with for why they get so OTT about a woman using her boobs for what they're meant for.

I don't get how a giant boob is going to convince a bunch of prudes that breastfeeding is okay.
I mean I'd be kind of surprised if a giant man boob was made into a float either. Or a D**k float.
Australia is so lucky! We are so diverse, breastfeeding is acceptable, there little to no racist people, the whole no shirt; no shoes; no se
On a totally non serious note. Imagine turning the corner, and there it is, staring you in the face(the fake boob, the giant, fake boob)
.....I think we are disgusted because we aren't monkeys or cows and science has invented a little tool called...wait for it....A BREAST PUMP...USE IT. It is not the 1400's I don't want to see you mooimg with ur ugly kid latched onto u like a farm animal. Cover that sh*t up
Actually room of mother and infant is. Really cannot find but less big supper market,in china it is also a problem
Oh please… I am not interestet in women sqeezing their breast in milk-dripping baby faces. Why is no one caring about that? If I would go to sit in a park/restaurant/bus… with one of my breasts uncovered it wouldnt be acceptet, just because there is no hairless face close by? Where is the fairness? For me, female, it's disgusting to see.Put a napkin over it and no one is embarrassed! Sorry if the english is bad, its not my first language
If you don't like it, don't look! It's a very simple solution. A mother's breast is not uncovered, it has a baby covering it!!
