Extremely Chunky Knits By Anna Mo Look Like They’re Knit By Giants
Ukraine-based Anna Mo knits super chunky blankets with giant, three-inch stitches. This is the ultimate security blanket you can get lost in. She uses custom-made, two-inch-thick needles for her knits, which also include sweaters and scarves.
Mo began knitting to have a hand-based escape from her head-based design job. No surprise then, that her work emphasizes its hand-made nature. The yarn wriggles with every huge loop, imperfections are magnified, and each piece has a unique flair. This blanket will be yours and yours only!
The yarn is 100% Australian Merino wool, meaning that it is soft, warm, light, and perfect for wearing against bare skin. Winter seems forever away, but if you’re under one of these knits, it will be no threat at all.
Mo sells her knits, yarn, and giant needles at her Etsy shop, Ohhio.

Share on FacebookThank you for very inspiring and beautiful photos and, of course, a very creative etsy seller! But the idea is not new, there are many other good Etsy users selling super chunky blankets, just use esty search: https://www.etsy.com/shop/lilyandpeabody https://www.etsy.com/shop/bloisem https://www.etsy.com/shop/woolWow https://www.etsy.com/shop/fashiontouchhome https://www.etsy.com/shop/LizaDeeOriginals and many many more!
Photos are impressive! But it's only a knitted wool tops...Items are unsuitable for wearing or using in household. So basically it's just a waist of wool.
This looks like combed top. You could pull it apart, spin it using a spinning wheel or a drop spindle and create a more durable yarn.

All this talk of mulesing (which i had never heard of) has completely put me off these creations. I really don't want to be a part of anything that causes suffering to any animal, bird or other life forms including the Amazon rainforests. Although this is getting more 7 more difficult these days. Sad.
cool pics and colors !! and knitting BUT DO YOU KNOW WHAT MULESING IS ? AUSTRALIA DOESN'T TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF THEIR SHEEP - I WOULD CHECK IT OUT BEFORE YOU ADVERTISE THAT !
ouch! 1 - it didn't mention MULESING and 2 - not all farmers use this practice and if you knew the real facts behind the practice you wouldn't be so quick to SHOUT your response. Hear is an extract from the Aus RSPCA on the practice: The RSPCA supports mulesing only where it has been established for a particular geographical location that this will reduce the risk of flystrike. Mulesing must only be performed as a measure of last resort and where alternative humane options are not viable. The latter may include the use of clips. Mulesing must always be performed by an accredited operator, using pain relief. Lambs that will be sold at an early age for meat must not be subject to mulesing. If you have ever seen a sheep effected by Flystrike, you would also not be so quick to critisise. It's terrible!
