Meet Vincent, A Fluffy Maine Coon Cat That Looks Like A Black Panther And Acts Like A Dog

Interview With Owner
ADVERTISEMENT

A while ago, we shared a story about a giant fluffy cat called Kefir. Because of its tremendous size, the animal went viral all over the internet and has molten the hearts of many people.

Today, we want to introduce you to yet another big boy—Vincent. He is a Maine coon cat from Russia who attracts attention not only with his enormousness and large and vibrant eyes, but also with his black and silky fur, which resembles that of a black panther.

The beautiful cat has a profile on TikTok and Instagram. His combined follower count on these two platforms is more than 500 thousand. Accompanied by his owners, Andrey and Anastasia, the mesmerizing feline enchants the feed with entertaining videos and photos which we find adorable!

Meet Andrey, Anastasia and their giant cat Vincent from Russia

The young couple got Vincent because they felt that something in their daily lives was missing

According to Andrey, it was too early for the two to think about a child, so they decided that a cat would be just right

Andrey shared with Bored Panda that they understood that getting a cat would cause some difficulties in renting an apartment. Animals are very rarely allowed. However, the couple decided to get this fluffy creature anyway since his little face immediately captured their hearts.

The couple saw a picture of Vincent on the Avito website, which is an analog for eBay. “His muzzle in the photo in the ad seemed to be calling us.”

“The day we were bringing Vincent to his new home, I noticed a lot of people were peeking at him. The long torso and large head certainly made it look unique compared to other cat breeds, but what everyone noticed, first of all, was the look. Many said that he looks like a person.”

The couple didn’t choose the cat’s name immediately. They wanted it to come naturally.

The name Vincent came to Andrey and Anastasia while watching the series “Brassic”. That’s what the main character was called, which somehow resembled their new pet.

Vincent is 11 months now and weighs around 20 pounds

Andrey shared that picking him up from the floor is already quite a difficult task

However, Vincent is expected to continue growing for another 1-2 years

Vincent’s owners noticed that the cat attracts a lot of attention so they created an Instagram and a TikTok accounts featuring photos and videos of Vincent

As of today, on both, TikTok and Instagram, accounts Vincent has more than 500 thousand followers

“The cat grew up as a hard-to-reach, graceful being that is always closely watching what we are doing, and at the same time sensitive to various forms of human pain”

“Like any child, he is very curious. Therefore, wherever we are, in the bedroom, in the shower, or in the closet, he keeps a close eye on us.

He loves to play with a small ball twisted from foil. The cat masterfully plays football with this toy, and when he gets bored, he brings it to the bed in his teeth and asks us to throw it to him, after which he catches the ball and brings it again for us to throw. So it’s not just the size of a dog.”

“He always reacts very emotionally to our sneezes, shouting something in his own language in response”

Andrey shared that their guests are sometimes shocked, not only by the big size of the cat but also by the fact that the couple allows him to sit with them at the dinner table. Or rather, lie on the table while they eat. “He already occupies almost the entire table with his size.”

Another amazing feature that Maine coon cats have, according to Andrey, is the sounds the animals make. “Instead of the usual ‘meow,’ they produce a more velvety and pleasant ‘noise,’ more like a rumbling.”

As a closing remark, Andrey shared that it is not as easy to take care of Vincent as it might look so people should think carefully before buying or adopting a cat

Despite not being easy to take care of, Vincent is still a playful and adorable cat

Yes! The Maine Coons get along with most any animal - and human. I would think your dog would get along quite well with a Maine C**n cat.

I know I know, nobody gives a s**t when they see cute cat videos, but... HOW ABOUT FINALLY STARTING TO BOYCOTT FÙCKING TIKTOK? If Youtube was owned AND CONTROLLED by Trump, would you still use it? Exactly. Only heckin' idiots would. Yet nobody seems to give a single fúck about the Chinese Overlords CONTROLLING AND CENSORING TikFuck with one hand while killing Uighurs (THEIR OWN PEOPLE!) with the other. Now for fúcks sake go on, downvote me all you like.

I don't think they should be hosting the Olympics either. Xi and putin are dangerously close now too. Both agreeing on a war w our ally. Idk what's going to happen but we all know why they want control of that land mass and water.

We had 2 Maine Coone cats. 1 male named Trouble who unfortunately passed away. He weighted 42lbs. He was not fat, just really muscular, but his heart gave out . He had a heart attack. His idea of fun was tipping over our rocker recliner with our daughter sitting in it. He would jump onto the headrest from the 6 ft cat tree. He was that strong. I miss him. Our other Maine Coone is a female who attacks cardboard boxes, rips apart plastic bags & destroys any couch that we have bought. She is a big girl who weighs 27 lbs we can't have anything near the edge of any counter. Guaranteed it will be knocked off the counter. Anything on the fridge is fair game to her. Beautiful cats but be prepared to clean up lots after them

I also was in a family with a Maine C**n named Trouble. This was in Kennebunkport, Maine. They are almost HUMAN! He would always jump up on my lap whenever I watched TV and I would stroke him and he would drool.

What a special cat. Please reconsider allowing him access to an open window in a high rise. This can be very dangerous as they can't claw onto the surface, can become distracted by a flying bird, or can get affected by the wind and air pressure. Cats also can't see depth like we can.

I have an identical Mainecoon boy. And for your information BP, the color is not "black" it's "smoke grey" #howdareyou But yes, Mainecoon males act like dogs trapped in a cat's body. Never thought I would play fetch with a cat but here we are. Downside is I have to sleep on the edge of my own bed with one buttcheek hanging out because the chubby rat likes to starfish all over the bed. Plus side is I always know where he is because he sounds like a herd of hippos when he comes down the stairs *thunk thunk thunk

I love your story! Vincent is one handsome boy! MaineCoons are one of the 'Forest Cats'. We have never had one, but how ironic that we live in Maryland, in the United States of America, only a few states down the coast from Maine and several years ago we lost our beloved cat to kidney disease. He was my favorite cat of all time; a Siberian Forest Cat. Like the MaineCoon, he too was very dog-like in nature! He talked to me all day long, would fetch, and was quite sensitive to human sickness! He wasn't the size of your boy, but he sure had the same nature! I just wanted to share my story thinking it's very ironic that my husband & I here in America had a Russian Cat, and you there in Russia have an American Cat and how similar they are! I believe my breed of kitty is the National Cat of Russia, yes?!!? :)

As a closing remark, Andrey shared that it is not as easy to take care of Vincent as it might look so people should think carefully before buying or adopting a cat A Maine C**n is a cat. Yes a big cat but it’s not like they require special treatment. Every Maine we had did happen to act more dogish then catish, but not special treatment was needed. That comment in the article made is seem like they were a handful. Most are cuddle bugs with a very close bond to their owners.

Cats are so amazing. We bring them into our households, and they learn our routines . They take their food on schedule...they cuddle on schedule...they are delightful. But under all that...they are fiercely wild animals. I you put them outside, they are terrifying hunters...instantly. They are not domestic...they just like our company.....and food. Damn smart creatures!!!

He has to be more that 20lb. My Tuxedo (who has some maincoon in him, you know? Cats) is 22lb and when he stretches on the bed he is almost as long as the queen bed is wide. We are thinking of getting a King size bed because he is a big baby and insists on sleeping in between my wife and I. This guy looks a tad bigger (not by much). Maybe is the perspective

To the overlords of Bored Panda. When yiu write an article about a breed of cat that gets its name from the US state of Maine and the word is used multiple times in the article, you reallybshould think about tweaking your comment censor nazi. The word C O O N is short for raccoon. It is not a racial epithet unless you are stuck in that boomer mindset (and by this time retired). We should not have to add an E, combine the two words, add an extra O, etc etc to be able to comment and use the name. It is a Maine C**n cat. Not a MaineCoon, a Mainecoon, a Maine Cooon, or even a Maine Coone. Nor is a Mainekun, like I saw one actual owner in a viral video spelling it. Get a life and fix your algorithm.

Vincent_blackpanther, for the record... a black panther is not a real animal. Panther comes from the genus name panthera. Panthera consists of multiple animals such as the lion, tiger, leopard, and jaguar. The black panther is incorrect and is actually referring to a black jaguar, a phenotypic mutation of the spotted yellow jaguar. This cat looks nothing like a black jaguar, nor any of the other big cats in the panthera genus. I guess no body cares about being accurate these days. But hey, do whatever you want, call the cat a black panther, doesn't change the fact you are wrong about naming it Vincent the black panther.

For the record. There is no such animal as a black Panther. Therefore this cat cannot look like a panther. The term panther comes from the genus panthera. Which classifies the big cats that can roar. The correct use for a black panther is the black jaguar, a mutant variation of the spotted jaguar. But it's still a jaguar. As well, a black jaguar does not look like that at all. So I think the author should get the title straight with more accuracy and do a little more research next time

Yes! The Maine Coons get along with most any animal - and human. I would think your dog would get along quite well with a Maine C**n cat.
