This is an excellent idea! But make sure you flush with the lid down, or all the disgusting germs will jump right onto that tiny sink and anything nearby! Actually, you should ALWAYS flush with the lid down.

Only downside I can see is soap scum build up on the inside of the tank and all over the valve and float. Being "out of site out of mind", it has a high potential to get pretty funky in there.

No. The constant addition of soap would destroy the biochemical balance of your septic tank, which is only designed to take brown water (human sewage), not white water (suds & detergent). Source: I'm an Environmental Engineer.

But in my country, we have our own septic tank, usually in the backyard. If soap (especially anti-septic soap) ingredients regularly poured into it, it could kill the bacteria that helps decompose poops in the septic tank. I will not buy this toilet. But for sure it's a nice idea.

Marja Jolivet

Where does the water from the shower, the kitchen sink etc. go? Normally there's as much soap (and even other, and stonger, detergents) going to the same septic tank, isn't there? I never heard of a septic tank only for the toilet, at least in my country...

I do have a doubt. NOT A THEORY. Isnt it not in practice because. If we flush down lots of soap into the toilet it kills all the microbes which can decompose the waste, and later end up overflowing or breaking the main collection tank?
