Though video games have made enormous leaps in quality over the last 10 years, the problems people have while playing them haven't gone away - those everyday problems simply changed with the times.

In a 12-panel comic strip published by Estonian artist Mart Virkus, creator of a webcomics blog Arcade Rage, the dilemmas of gamers in the '90s and early '00s are compared to those in recent years in a hilariously minimalist cartoon drawing style. The ubiquitous advent of Pokemon Go is most certainly referenced. Day-one gamers will find these relatable comics and the contrasts depicted all too real.

Have a look at these hilariously funny comics, have a walk down the memory lane, and tell us in the comments how your gaming woes have changed.

The games have too much side missions now! Can't complete the game unless you play all the damned missions! *rage*

Side quests are ruining the immersion in a game (mostly open worlds which throws hundreds of them at you)
