27 Astrology Memes All The Non-Believers Can Laugh At
Astrology is easy to dismiss as quackery, I mean come on, how can celestial objects and some zodiac signs have the slightest influence on a person's destiny?
The concept was born over 2300 years ago when the ancient Babylonians came up with the idea that the gods lived among the stars, and were able to manipulate humans' personalities to suit their wishes and whimsies. So they divided the night sky into 12 separate pieces, which we now know as the zodiac ar horoscope signs, and which, according to some polls, almost a quarter of Americans still take seriously today. And that, of course, is an excellent fuel for some horoscope memes.
But why? Well, when you read something that validates your beliefs or needs, it can be tempting to legitimize it. For most of us, it's just a little fun that can bring some positivity and confidence in our lives. There are those, however, who take it way too seriously. These zodiac memes, collected by Bored Panda, are for those who should maybe take their heads out of the sky, and come back down to Earth with a laugh!

Wel, that is how it works. Writing a few generalizations is quite a simple task - people find statements matching them, so they believe it. "You can make difficult decisions, but sometimes you are hesitant. You love your family and friends, but sometimes you find it difficult to understand them." Blah blah blah. It suits, literally, everybody - and that is a point.
Perfect! I love how people find these old paintings and fit them so wonderfully into such epic scenarios!
For those who might wonder, this picture depicts the exact reaction former president Obama had when he went to the White House after Trump's election, also complemented by his short mental dialogue: 'Well, time to compliment my successor." *sees Trump* "You know what? F*** it, I'm out."
Dangit, Mr. Obama, you forgot to take me with you.... :(
Load More Replies...Crystals are cool, though. They take thousands of years to grow into beautiful things, and I think that’s really awesome. Good things really do take time.
What’s wrong with collecting crystals? I think they’re pretty and I love all the varieties they come in!
He is, he just isn't interested in someone like that so he leaves.

I don't believe in horoscopes. We, Virgos, are very distrustful.
Ahh that explains it - Lol
True... I got a virgo mom and lets just say that my mom likes my door wide open for her (if you dont know what that means, you don't want to know :/ )
Sorry, I was born on December 32nd, can't relate.
Is any one else bothered by the fact that the title of this post says '31rd' and not '31st'? No? Just me? Okay, I'll go now
It's a brand new number! It's pronounced "thirty furd" and it only exists during the new moon (which is now).
Really, I believed it was pronounced "Thirty-Oned". Prove me wrong.
The one that made me laugh the most was december 31rd
"For most of us, it's just a little fun that can bring some positivity and confidence to our lives." No, it is not. There is nothing positive in believing bullshit ever, be it positive or not. Everytime you succumb to magical thinking, you give up a bit of rationality. It is the same with reading a bit of fake news on social media every day. You know it is stupid, but it still slowly enters your mind and influences your thoughts. They only mean against this is to actively ingore it. And that can be quite exhausting at times. Horoscopes after all are a kind of ancient "clickbait".
ancient clickbait... love it
PS: My horroscope told me that "It is a virtue to raise your voice against a nuisance."
It's not dangerous if you have a brain and realize it's stupid.

If it provides them happiness why do you care? There is no harm being done. I don't even believe in them but I understand that people have beliefs and I've got no right to crap on them just because I don't agree.
Scamming people into believing something is actively harming them... Especially people who don't necessarily have the tools to fight back. That's the whole point of modern astrology... So yes, we do have to care. At least a little bit.
The fallacy is exactly that no harm is being done. If you have your thought influenced by non-facts, harm is unavoidable. People always say "just for fun", "I do not take it seriously etc." Psychological studies say, however, that repeated non-facts influence you, even if you firmly believe against them.
Astrology wont provide happiness, unless you are being told what you want to hear. All these forecasts are just so vague, people can choose to disregard what doesnt apply to them anyway and just cling to the one tiny bit that sounds a bit like them. People rack their brains to think of some aspect of their life that might almost fit their horoscope.
Please tell me I wasn't the only one that took more than a second to realize that the title includes a whole year. I saw he title and was like: "so, if I was born in November, does that include me?, oh wait.".
I'm a Virgo and in german and croatian they have the same words for Virgo as for virgin so when someone asks me ... I imagine for male Virgos it's even worse, especially for male teenage Virgos
Eheheh That's a classic.
I was about 16 when a guy I just met and who was a few years older than me asked me if it's just my horoscope sign
Same in Dutch!
I can't just say I behave like this because I'm an Aquarian. I am an Aquarian because I behave like this.
Newspapers and magazine still print a horoscope every day. What were the predictions on 9-11?
Pisces in Moldova: Some country you don't give a shit about will have a terrorist attack. Also, you'll fall in love.
When you say to Astrology believers that it's a bunch of nonsense they reply: 'Your sign predicts that you'd be a skeptic.' Which I've heard them claim about people born at widely varying times of the year. When you point out how the psychological traits predicted for someone by Astrology are sometimes widely at odds w/ the personality of that person, they reply: 'Well, it's complex, other factors like their environment and culture could come into play and there's a bunch of individual variations within a sign.' How convenient, when it gets a prediction right that shows it's right. When it gets it totally wrong it's still a valid system b/c there could be other factors.
Lol this is probably the funniest bored panda title to an article I've ever seen haha
The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, But in ourselves
I remember working with people who fervently believed in astrology. They kept convincing other colleagues, using elaborate bullshit to make their crap convincing (if you convince an idiot that he's clever, he will actually believe that he is clever). I was a student at the time, my work focusing on planetology. Let's just say that it didn't required a lot of mental effort from my part to completely obliterate their arguments (e.g., no, planets don't emit auras that influence our behavior). But it obviously didn't work, as my foes used the usual arguments "you're just trapped in your own beliefs and won't open your mind". Such bullshit. I gave up. It still depresses me to this day...
"you're just trapped in your own beliefs and won't open your mind" Oh, look who's talking... *eyeroll* (btw, it's same for politics, religion and many other topics as well)
Exactly. This argument is used when there is no more actual argument to use. The amazing thing is that it works, because people can get worked up pretty fast when they are wrong.
Astrology is a load of Bulls**t - let's offend PETA at the same time. Although I do wonder if aquarius and pisces are better swimmers

Oh, yea . . . Astrology . . . invented at the time when the sun and 3 planets revolved around the Earth. Yea, I'm gonna trust my future to that . . .
Ahh horoscopes.. Say something that could relate to anyone but read as very different things when read side by side and people will go crazy ...
Did anyone notice how most of these post make it seem like all the people who believe in horoscopes/astrology are women and the people telling them off are men? What the hell is up with that? There are MANY women who don't believe in that kind of stuff and MANY men who do.
Astrology/DSM-5, all the same sort of fabricated crap
When things go well it's due to your skill, amazing intelligence, and hard work. When things go south it's that damn horoscope and rotten luck.
Does astrology work for early C-section babies? I mean, does it work any less than it already doesn't work?
Im an Aries!
I don't believe in horoscopes, but I do believe that the time of year during our birth may have some minor effect on our personalities. I have noticed that most of my friends whom I consider to remind me most of myself have been born around the same time of year. Of course this varies from person to person, but maybe, just maybe.
