If you’re in need of a pick-me-up, then we’ve got a treat for you. [Drumroll] We present to you Bored Panda’s collection of the funniest and wittiest recent Twitter posts made by women. Scroll down, enjoy, and remember to upvote your faves! If you’re still craving for some more female Twitter humor, check out our earlier post when you’re done with this list.

It’s no surprise that a lot of the tweets that people post nowadays are related to the coronavirus pandemic. From funny quips to comments about 2020 being full of unpleasant surprises, the women of Twitter are experts at poking fun at what’s trending.

We all know how important humor is for feeling well—and it’s more important than ever with some of us stuck at home during the quarantine and feeling the effects of cabin fever, and others working essential jobs and putting themselves at risk.

Laughing, especially during difficult times, has a ton of pros. Studies show that laughter reduces anxiety, negative emotions, and helps keep your blood pressure in check! Not only that, but humor also improves our blood circulation, boosts our immune system, relieves pain, and calms down our stress hormones. It’s the perfect antidote for all the challenges that 2020 keeps throwing our way.

Now, obviously, having a good laugh isn’t the only thing that makes us feel good. Moving lots, eating well, and getting plenty of sleep are all incredibly important for your health. So make sure that you’re exercising and eating something other than junk food and ice cream during the lockdown, Pandas. And keep on smiling, especially when things seem grim! Watching stand-up comedy shows and funny movies can really help when you’re feeling blue.

Hahaha, I remember this. No one in my household even eats avocado and yet we still can’t afford to buy a house.

However, professional female comedians have a hard time in the industry. Though there are more and more women doing stand-up comedy, some people still cling to the idea that it’s a “male-centric profession.”

Journalist, political expert, and stand-up comedian Ayesha Hazarika writes in The Guardian that being a woman is no barrier to being funny. “Funny is funny,” she sums up her point of view. “Talent and humor is everywhere. Opportunity is not.”

According to her, diversity matters in comedy because audiences appreciate hearing unique and quirky stories about life. Variety is what’s important because it’s interesting for the audience.

As a gen x person, I have a house, but it sucks, is part of a row, and I hate my neighbors. I want out of here sooooo badly. I used to have a living-wage job that made this house possible (only just; I was refused loans for a better place), but now I’m living on disability, so... I’m 44. If I merge resources with my 35-year-old girlfriend some day, we might be able to afford a small detached house in an undesirable region... if she can find a living-wage job. Basically, if you’re not the top 15% or better, you can forget having a proper home. It’s all shared walls (or worse: shared everything).

I resemble this remark. Gen X, disability but student loans eat into that disability check. FIL lives with us, so we cover part of that care. Fortunately my husband has a decent job (for now, despite 40% pay cut). Single family, high density, next to freeways, processing plants and port so very polluted.

I doubt $2,400.00 got you this house and if it did in a dream world then remember those stimulus checks are now gone and you have mortgage payments that you can't afford seeing as you both were considered as those who don't make enough money in the first place which is why you both were a recipient of those stimulus checks.

Who the hell is rich enough to afford a house at 21? I'm old, and I couldn't afford my first house until I was 45.
