We have this type of tarantulas here in Chile, they´re completely harmless and are called "pollito" which means "little chicken". Some people have them as pets, they´re really very mild mannered and even a bit dumb. It´s the small, innocent looking spiders that are dangerous, not these hairy big ones.
I looked at this picture for a long time trying to decide whether it's creepy or cute... I've decided she's just very very brave.
