I have definitely the same opinion about wild animals. But I would still be freaking excited about this, if it happened to me.

You don't know the full story. Wildcats, such as this cheetah, may have been raised by humans because his mother abandoned him or was shot. In those cases, it's actually cruel to set them free again as they are unable to take care of themselves and scare off predators. They wouldn't last long at all.

I agree in general, but 1) this cat seems content and 2) we don't know where the cat would have ended up without this owner.

This was probably not a pet animal as one of the addesses was actually a police department (this seems to be my home city). My guess is the leopard was being taken to a photoshoot.

Sure, jump to conclusions and report the owner... there's no need to find out the whole story, just see, react, and move on.

very true but what if it was the case that this animal couldn't live in the wild anymore and was domesticated by previous contact with humans-it could have just been a friendly jaguar or leopard (i can't tell the difference)

based on the language this is Russia... they have wild cats for pets a lot there... and other exotic animals... not right but legal there.

There is little wild left for animals, so you think born in a cage in a petting zoo is preferable, where many are rescued from after being maltreated or neglected

this is in Russia, different laws and if that can was rescued as a cub.. probably can't go back to the wild.. he probably get a great run at the end of his shift..
