Japanese Photographer Captures Stray Cats Having Fun And Not Giving A Damn In The World
Sometimes, it’s not about where you are but rather who you’re with. A Japanese photographer who goes by the name of Nyankichi Rojiupa has found a group of stray cats who have turned a street with drain pipe holes into their playground, and his images perfectly show just how much fun these silly cats are having.

“I casually stumbled upon these feral cats and now spend all of my weekends with them taking adorable cat photos,” Rojiupa told Bored Panda. And even though the photographer doesn’t have any cats of his own, he’s befriended quite a few of them. “I’ve managed to earn their trust to the point where they act as playful pets.”

The cute cats’ specialty is hopping in and out of drain pipe holes, striking adorable poses. And when these loveable furballs aren’t busy doing PAWkour, they let Rojiupa pet them.
However, the photographer said that every now and then somebody’s starts raising concerns about the friendship he shares with these critters. According to him, some speculate that his cute cat photos might attract those who might harm the animals. “The cats live on a private, protected property,” Rojiupa assured us.

These are very cute and touching, and it makes me wish that every cat could have a home.
I love these shots to the moon and back, I really got my dosage of cuteness for today <3

Those concrete tiles with the holes the cats go in are removable. Neighbors will remove them periodically and clean out those drainage ditches. So if a cat does get stuck, it's a simple matter of removing the cover. In some places those covered drainage ditches are open, so the cat can also just walk out to the next open space.

I love them so much!!! Please take the best care you can!!! Hopefully this will inspire people in the area to help those kitter-puffs. I love their little bleps!
If I was walking by and a cat popped out of a hole in the sidewalk it would probably take surgery to get the smile of my face.
I like the one that kept sitting in the hole and poking his head out. :D
Cats are amazing! They can turn any place into a feline playground. Those cats look as though they are well-fed, so people in the neighborhood probably feed them - though they should be fixed.
They may well be. The Japanese take better care of animals like this than Americans do. They say "It must be done" and just do it, Americans say "It must be done don't look at ME!" and don't. I'm curious--did you see any kittens? I didn't, and I was looking.

I'm pretty sure the owners or workers where they are have provided shelter for them. They are well fed,and they SIT on the photographer. Think of them as urban barn cats--very well taken care of barn cats. I assume they provide the same services as a good barn cat--vermin control.

Adorable. I bet it's toasty warm down inside that concrete on a sunny day.
I've only been abroad once and that was with my Portugese friend and her family (to Portugal if you didn't guess) and I was shocked at the amount of stray animals. Being from the UK I'm not used to seeing them. In the apartment complex where we stayed, there were about 6/7 stray cats and this very nice little old lady down the road fed them and made sure they always had fresh water. We also went to a fair and I saw dozens of stray dogs and people ignored them. I wanted to take them all home with me!
These cats seem too well fed to be feral.....but they also seem happy and love giving the photographer a sign of what they think of humans........{backsides and tails up in the air..oh yeah also the occasional tongue out} love them!!!!!!!!
Great photo’s! Wish there was a way to have them all spayed/neutered!
Adorable! The title is a combination of two expressions: 1) not having a care in the world 2) Not giving a damn
too well fed to be strays...or the most healthy strays I've ever seen!!
I wonder how they got the cats into the hole .w. like did they put treats or something into the hole ?
These animals are well fed,and obviously cared for.The Japanese have picked up on our TNVR programs, and I think this might be one of those colonies
They seem like a troupe of comedy cats! I would spend my days watching them too!
the chubby one wearing gray and black stripes is in charge as Chairman of the Drain
What are the holes their climbing through? But still SOOOOO CUTE!!!!!
Super article about the feline persuasion...is there any wonder why we are captivated?
The expressions are priceless! But I want to give some of them a bath..
My wife and I are just looking around for two female moggies from the same litter , after lossing our old boy to a stroke after 16 1/2 years together, the house feels empty without moggies in it.
Having two cats I enjoyed this, it was funny with their tongues out !!!
Beautiful pictures, but as a cat owner I can see that the little grey one has a very clogged up nose with mucus, he/she really needs to get medications as it might indicate a very contagious disease (in dutch called katteniesziekte, but I don't know how to translate it properly)
I want to take that one tabby to the vet to check out his runny nose.
While this is adorable AF, this cat colony needs a TNSR program badly and a regular human care watcher. More and more kitties will be born and suffer some dire consequences with inbreeding, disease passing, and other s**t without a TNSR program. If I lived in Japan, I would totally do it
Is it just me, or do this pictures portray these cats as a WACK - A - Mole Game. Besides stray cats playing in the streets are likely to be run over and aren't they a health hazard in some respects. SPAY and NEUTER your pets.
I always knew you were stupid, but I didn't know that you were born with a penis in your mouth. Gross.
