fahrenheit - a use of measurement comparable with a doctor's use of leeches and boring holes in your head to get the devil out. it's post 2000, why the f**k would you use such an archaic (that means "old", america) method of measuring temperature? it's makes no sense.
Venus is a "runaway greenhouse". Its atmosphere is very dense so that it traps most of the heat. Atmospheric pressure is some 90x that of the Earth surface atmosphere. Mercury has no atmosphere (not much) since the planet isn't dense enough. So its temperature swings between extremely hot in day side to extremely cold at night side (note mercury is tidally locked with the sun)

I don't agree. I think most people love to see the awesome power of a space rocket lifting off and flying. Seeing one blow up isn't nearly as cool and it's a tragedy when people are on board. NASCAR, on the other hand is boring EXCEPT when cars are crashing.

Once, John Young and Gus Grissom snuck and ate a Corned Beef sandwich on board Gemini 3 because space food sucked. It almost got them fired because the crumbs could gum up the machinery in the spaceship.
I suppose the sandwich wouldn't have gone bad because there aren't any bacteria to decompose it?
