What do vacuums and Sir Patrick Stewart have in common? If you thought that they both suck, you're wrong. Sir Patrick Stewart is so accomplished that Queen Elizabeth II knighted him for his achievements, hence the Sir before the name. But what do they have in common, then? Twitter user Amanda, alias Pandamoanimum, found a strange connection: Sir Patrick Stewart's clothing looks very similar to some vacuum cleaners! Weird, huh?

Amanda recently made a Twitter thread showing these peculiar similarities, and the result is hilarious. And don't think that it's a slight against the Golden Globe, Emmy, Tony, and Olivier award nominee. It's more of a compliment to some vacuum cleaners that have enough charisma and character to be compared with this awesomely gifted actor.

Sir Patrick Stewart's career is very long and diverse, and he's been acting for over 50 years. The British actor started his career in theatre and gradually moved on to TV, making his debut in 1967 on Coronation Street. He played many roles but never was a household name in TV. Well, not until Star Trek: The Next Generation, where he got the role of Jean-Luc Picard. His career reached warp speed from that point onwards, and he was awarded the Best Dramatic TV Actor of the 1980s by TV Guide. He later moved on to feature films, the role Professor Charles Xavier in X-Men being the most memorable. The soon-to-be-82-year-old is still active today, making appearances in TV, theatre, and feature films.

Amanda did quite a few of these funny comparisons of various celebrities on different themes, so make sure you check out her Twitter for more of these types of threads. For example, she did comparisons of Prince with caterpillars, corals, and fish, David Bowie as ice lollies, RuPaul as different kinds of sea creatures, and Dolly Parton as Christmas baubles and umbrellas. She also writes funny commentary about current events. So, in short, Amanda's Twitter is worth a follow.

Amanda is a comedy writer by profession, so it might appear as if it comes naturally. But let us assure you, she has worked hard and long to find and compile these threads just to entertain Twitter users, and in turn, you, dear readers, are enjoying these fruits of her labor right now. So if you want to support her efforts, make sure you buy her a coffee, which you can do by clicking the Ko-fi link below.

If you're up for more entertaining comparisons, there's many to choose from on Bored Panda. For example, Tumblr user bowiebranchia spotted the different times when David Bowie looked a lot like a sea slug. Somebody else noticed how Tilda Swinton's outfits often look very similar to different flavors of Dorito bags. Another Twitter user noticed how Keanu Reeves and his alleged girlfriend looked like the main characters from Howl's Moving Castle. It goes to show that similarities between different things can be found everywhere; one just needs to have the eye to see it.
