This week Apple unveiled three new iPhones and two new watches, which means its time for the tech conspiracy theorists to go off about their current phones glitching. Just like clockwork, each new product release comes with complaints and, of course, lots and lots of memes.
The new models are the iPhone XS, the iPhone XS Max, the iPhone XR, the Apple Watch Series 4 and the Apple Watch Nike+. Their features include updates such as 5.8" to 6.5" 5 super retina display, faster Face ID, new camera features and an A12 bionic chip that can process 5 trillion operations per second. Sounds pretty dope huh? Well, what potential customers aren't too excited about is the $999 to $1,099 starting price tag for the phones and $399 to $499 for the watches. Additionally, let's be honest we are still mourning the loss of the normal headphone jack, I mean come on Apple, who asked for that?! The good news is you can always count on the internet to voice their frustration in collective comedic harmony.

I don't even take phone calls most of the time. Why would I want to face time even two people at once?
Al right, I can see the necessity of speaking with 20-30 people at once, but I really don't see a reason to use the phone at that time. Such a teleconference usually involves stationary computers, where it makes a lot of sense, much like any teleconference software.

Maybe these aren't that popular in the West, where mobile providers are more stable, but honestly this is old, common technology available on mid-budget phones throughout Asia. This is partly because the coverage is sparse, so it's often handy to be able to have option of a provider. Also, the plans are more exclusive in that it is free to call/text on the same provider, but costs money to call a phone from a different provider.

All Android phones I have looked at for the last three years that sport dual-SIM have made the second SIM slot "dual purpose" so it can be used for either second SIM card or an SD card. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if that is Apple's next big "innovation".

I don't have a smart phone nor will I ever get one, unless they totally do away with my old school Motorola flip phone, thats right, it still works like a champ and does every thing I need it to do, I can talk and text............the end.. 110% totally satisfied.. now to see the looks on some peoples face when they see a person talking on a "flip-phone" lol.. priceless

It's the top of the line product, and it isn't that expensive in comparison with similar products from other manufacturers. Sony XZ2 Premium costs $800, Samsung Galaxy Note9 costs $1000, Huawei P20 Pro costs $1100. Whether you actually want or need to buy a newest phone only because it was released or whether new iPhone is actually worth the price is inconsequential - I'm speaking only about the 'new iPhone requires you to sell a kidney' jokes. Seriously, do you dole out 50-60 grand on the newest car when you can't afford it? Not really, you most likely but a second-hand car or an older model without second thought. Why should it be different with phones?

Gosh, you could buy a car for these prices, granted a second hand car. At least it’ll take you to the hospital if you fall down, it’ll take you to the doctor if you have low blood pressure. But if you buy one, you’ll need a trip to the doctor anyway, because of the price, you’ll get heart failure .#AppleExpensive
Everyone's talking about smartphones while I'm still using one with physical buttons and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. I think I should invest a little money in getting a phone that doesn't make the f*****g WHEEL look like a modern invention.
Who would spend that much on a phone?? The older and more funcional the better. Nokias were great, indestructable, always regret mine being stolen. My last 2 phones couldnt even survive a fall from a pocket or a knock without the touch screen being completely ruined

Omg these comments are hilarious... look it's this simple, all of you Samsung die hards - I paid just as much for my samsung note 4 that I did for my iPhone 7 plus when I switched. So quit acting like it's sooo different. Also, IF you don't want the phone or to pay that much then don't buy it it's that simple.
Now - if they could make a phone that will survive a washing machine, being dropped from a height and will work for 10 years - that may be worth investing in. An aditional useful feature would be for it to immediately alert someone to inform them where it is when you lose it or it is about to loose charge. Only they wouldnt be able to phone you to let you know

I have a very old iTunes Nano that iTunes doesn't recognize (thus no syncing) so I got rid of all the Apple programs in my computer and load the songs from my computer manually.
My brother has a payment plan and will be done paying in 4 years, right about the time Apple released some doo hickey ... I have a samsung ... i was done in 1.5 years ... JS...
Your brother got screwed. I have the "iPhone forever" plan and I lease because then I can upgrade (for free) every year instead of two. I choose to lease because what am I gonna do with my old phone when I upgrade? Throw it in a drawer? Nah. It only costs about 10-20 bucks more on my bill. That's the best way to do it. I never end up paying 1k or even close to that for my phones.

Apple have made owning their products into something to aspire to but in reality they have a shoddy design that force you to spend money to get a fully functioning product. I find it disgusting the way they engineer their products to be unserviceable by third parties as possible. Proprietary connectors also means third parties have to pay for a license to manufacture compatible devices.
I'm still using my Samsung from 2013. I still can make phone calls and I only need to charge my phone once a week.
