An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OBGYN, has expertise in female reproductive health, pregnancy, and childbirth. And since there are quite a few folks who lack common knowledge in these areas, they are being asked every question in the book. And then some. Luckily, though, they also seem to have a good sense of humor to get them through it. This ‘pregnancy FAQ’ from a particularly sarcastic OB, for example, showcases how one might respond to the things they hear far too often. Before giving a legit answer, of course. The sign with these pearls of wisdom was shared on Reddit’s Baby Bumps thread by a user named YellowWoodenTable, whose legendary OB had it posted on their office wall. Whoever this genius is, they seem like the kind of person you’d trust with your intimate affairs.

Poor choice of words for this folk! Your wife will feel normal when you stop asking abnormal and stupid questions
I think I had a lobotomy instead of a c-section sometimes. It's the evolution of motherhood.
if you have this mindset.. like, with a child my wife/us as a couple isn't right...then yeah it may be a long time
Actually, that's false. However, some fetal brain cells do migrate to the brain of the pregnant person during gestation, and it can take up to three years for the individual who gave birth to regain normal efficiency of thought due to there suddenly being new neurons connecting to random neurons that may store important information. So, metaphorically speaking, you're correct, as it can feel like people who are or recently have been pregnant have less brain than the rest of us, but really, there's just some random fetus nerves clogging up their memory recall and other brain functions.
Load More Replies...There is something wrong with that childbirth instructor if she thinks childbirth is just a bit of pressure lol. She is selling lies. Also what the hell is a childbirth instructor lol. Not very often does childbirth go to plan, it is pretty unpredictable. That is why I think birth plans are a waste of time, you are more likely to be disappointed if it doesn’t go the way you hope. If you can handle the possible dissapointment then by all means do a birth plan but I personally wouldn’t recommend it.
This. This is the best one. You put it in there, you're sure as hell going to be there when it comes out!
Silly parent...babies don't take showers...they take baths. They can't even stand yet..
i'm laughing because i'm imagining someone finding out they're pregnant and immediately going, "OH NO I NEED MY EPIDURAL OH DEAR ME"
Is there anything I should avoid while recovering from childbirth? - Yes, pregnancy. --- This is so true. A woman's body needs to recover for at least a year before starting on new pregnancy (2 after c-section), and there is a significant amount of women that moves on to another pregnancy within 2 months, even the lochia doesn't stop (supercringe) >.<
The Catholic hospitals withhold contraception information and the dangers of closely timed pregnancy. It's twisted.
Load More Replies...Absolutely brilliant! You have to wonder about some of these people should be having babies:)
