It's obvious that he knew his knew human when he saw her - not letting that one get away!
Both my ginger tabby boys assertively chose me as well. Leo followed me around the cat room and sat on my feet every time I stopped and Oscar literally jumped on me from a cat tree, just trusting that I would catch him. (I did, and never let him go <3.)
How'd you get him that quiet in the car? My cat goes nuclear in our car. Lol
He was likely in such a blissful state being held by his chosen one, knowing that they'd be together forever.

Years ago we adopted a cat at the humane society when he jumped on my wife’s lap and hugged her around the neck. The next day I took him to the vet and a young couple who were moving and couldn’t keep their cat had taken him to the humane society recognized him and were happy and relieved that their boy had been adopted.

This is exactly how we got our ginger tom too, 25 years ago. Even had a grey brother like this one too. That cat was a chatterbox until the day he died 22 years later. Miss that old codger.

We , or more precisely, my wife, have 6 of the critters. Four spend most of the time in the house sleeping. We also have a female Pomeranian who regularly cleans the cats ears. They seem to love it. She is their Aunt Mimi.
Those are really great pics and situations. Just one thing is disturbing - please don't let your cat get obese... It can really hurt them :(
