My own mother had issues with my heterochromia and would regularly tell me to get contact lenses of the same color as soon as I could (the more traditional Asian mindset typically discourages unusual things). I brushed her off, since I couldn't change my eye color, so I didn't care. As an adult, I appreciate it much more because other adults now stop, stare, and smile when they notice.

I don't see a cleft lip, just a gorgeous little boy and cat that have one blue eye and one green eye. Adorable and unique! I'd like an update on how they are today. I remember seeing this photo years ago and hoping to god that this cat lives a good long safe life as this boy's companion. <3

It is not his eyes that they bully him about probably. It is his speech impediment due to his cleft pallet. My brother, before he was old enough to have the condition permanently fixed, was bullied terribly for the way he spoke.
I'm never going to understand the mindset that makes picking on someone ever seem the right thing to do. Especially if the person has something that may be causing them distress anyway. Maybe it's because I was bullied - it's horrible and harmful.

It's actually called a cleft pallet that both the little boy & the cat share, along with their stunning different colored eyes. Seems that it was fated these two should meet & share their lives together!

I hate bullies, they ruined my life. Why do people pick on anyone whose different? By the way animals a friend that won't betray you unlike humans. Animals don't judge you by your looks, unlike humans. I really generally dislike humans but I absolutely love animals.

This is so frustrating to me, to hear of another bully story. I am sorry to say, but the kids are taught at home. To be honest, there are some adults that should not be parents !!!
I LOVE HETEROCHROMATIC EYE COLORS. I would absolutely love if I or one of my children had these gorgeous eyes colors. So unique and the best of both worlds.
Doubt though that you'd wish so for yourself or your children if that also included the little boy & cat's cleft lip.

As soon as I read the caption I started making a lot of weird choked up noises. My roommate thought a ghost had been summoned and promptly fled the house, haven't seen her since. In other words, this is freaking precious!
Bowie's eyes were the same colour - just the pupil was permanently dilated. It also meant that eye was more prone to 'red-eye' in photos. It gave the illusion of a different colour eye.

We , or more precisely, my wife, have 6 of the critters. Four spend most of the time in the house sleeping. We also have a female Pomeranian who regularly cleans the cats ears. They seem to love it. She is their Aunt Mimi.
