The ability to tell the entire world what you feel or think is dizzying. 'How should I phrase this?' 'Do I include that?' 'Is this oversharing?' So many doubts are lurking around that share button.

But believe it or not, some people are immune to them. They post every thought that crosses their mind. And they can be anyone! Parents complaining about their kids, high schoolers "analyzing" political discourse, celebrities interacting with fans, or everyday folks venting about their lives; we can't keep count.

Here's a collection of tweets from people who decided to get personal online. Too personal!

The staff at CollegeGrad, an entry-level job site for college students and recent grads, believe there are at least 9 things you should never post on social media.

1. Profanity. The language you use on social media is often the same one you'll use when casually interacting with coworkers. A minor four-letter-word once in a while isn't a crime, but if swearing is a big part of who you are, it may affect how employers look at you.

2. Abusive content. Social media can be a great place to share opinions, but if your feed is full of arguments and rants, you may come across as an overly negative person, probably not the kind of employee companies want in their office.

3. Adult content. A snapshot on the beach is perfectly fine but posting explicit photos of yourself can have a noticeable impact on your image. The Internet is a public place. So, before posting a selfie, consider if you are OK with being seen like that in the office.

I Love That Life Makes Sense For Him Now

IanMcKellen Report

4. Illegal content. Not only could this get you fired, but it may also land you on America's Stupidest Criminals. Even worse, you could be arrested if authorities see credible evidence of certain kinds of illegal activity.

5. Offensive content. Racism, sexism, and other forms of discrimination should have no place in your (online) life.

6. Negative opinions about your job, employer, boss, or professor. One comment about how you hate your job could cause future employers to wonder if you really like the work you are doing or not. And a comment about your "stupid boss" could make your next conversation about the raise you were hoping to get a lot more difficult.

7. Drug-related content. Some employers may require you to pass a drug test as a hiring condition. But chances are you won't even make it that far if you post about substances publicly.

8. Poor grammar. A comma here and there is nothing but if you don't know the difference between "your" and "you're", it's time to learn. Communication, including writing, is an important part of professional life.

9. Threats. It is not OK to threaten others, no matter the situation you're in. Wishing someone ill, whether it is a friend, family member, colleague, politician, celebrity, whatever; if you don't like someone else, social media is not the place to be hurling threats of any kind.

The Internet is public. Remember that when you're posting from your personal account.

I was once saved by the 'belle', the person for whose job I was applying. It was her last day; she was sitting hunched over behind a desk wearing a corsage and a haunted facial expression, but said nothing. One opportune moment when my interviewer was distracted, she caught my eye and ever so slightly shook her head, mouthing something that might have been 'run'. I never regretted taking her advice.

Wow. In my case, the interviewer made a few half-joking digs at the business owner. So I gave a ridiculously high figure when asked how much I wanted to be paid.

Seriously, though, when you go on a job interview, unless you really desperate that you just HAVE to get ANY job, you should be interviewing them as much as they are interviewing you.

After all these years of working I've learned to ask many questions and i believe the references from other employees should be a thing! We should demand things as well! Luckily I'm working in a small touristic place where we all know each other! If someone is a bad employer EVERYONE around knows and avoids!

In the third interview, before accepting a job, I actually asked to meet other employees doing the job. They seemed downtrodden. What nailed it was I noticed the owner and HR person listening at the door. I changed my line of questioning so as not to jeopardize the employee. Declined the job two days later.

It's a bit problematic though, I have read the few descriptions of the company that I work for and I realized that the experience may vary significantly between departments. Not to mention if it's a global company. It may be great in some department or in some countries and really suck ass in others. Trust me, I know this first hand.

What I find that is now worse is their decisions based partially upon my credit score. I get why, sort of, but I never invisioned waking up to a a 6 digit medical bill either. But I like this. How about during the interview you get to spontaneously and randomly chose 3 employees and privately ask them about the environment,

Thats why you ask if the position you are filling is new. If not, what are the biggest challenges the department faces, what is the plan to address them and how will you help with that plan.

This reminds me of a former employer. I was desperate. The company is well known and it will hire anyone if they can walk and carry things. That is to their credit. They paid 7.65 an hour in 2013. Their current scam is hiring student workers from Thailand, Turkey, Taiwan, Romania. They were good kids. I knew i was in trouble when i didn't see any Mexicans or other Latinos. They treat the people as stingy and cruel as they possibly can get away with. It was like a prison camp because the workers are on temporary visas and have no way to get out. Even if they had the strength to walk to the town, 5 miles away, it would be like landing on an alien planet. The most of them are kids . I forgot to tell you, that they have to pay for the awful food, whether they eat it or not. That food is not good.

Ah yes, pass out former employee's information to random strangers. Definitely a good idea there. Besides, they aren't gonna call those references anyway. More importantly, you need to interview them right back. Use a little more sense than the way people have been voting the past 10 years and you can figure this out easily. Ask about policies regarding discrimination, overtime and retaliation. If they use the words "federal law" or similar, then they have no intention of doing anything more than they're forced to do. If you have to wait unnecessarily, then note that they're attempting to show you your place. Etc. Etc.

It is assumed that work places were perfect. What if someone is/was in a toxic workplace, working for a maniac boss, and that boss gets to judge? How on earth we ensure that referee person is sane/honest? In US, in most big companies, the HR would just provide start date, end date, position....Would not say anything good or bad (an ex employee can sue and argue their assessment that s/he was bad is not accurate and costed her/him financial loss).

Maybe because the employer will be making an investment in you and doesn't want to waste their time/money and potential business on someone not able or willing to do their job? The only people who would say this are those that can't find three people to actually recommend them.

The employee is making an investment of valuable time, commitment, etc. also. It is just as beneficial for a candidate to know beforehand that the job is a good fit for them. as it is for the employer to know if the employee is a good fit for the job.

Used to be in a position where I hired people. Surprising what you can learn from references. One memorable one started out with "I wouldn't hire that idiot again in a thousand years". When on the other side of the fence, I have talked to current and former employees before accepting a job.

Best member of staff I ever had - terrible reference and it was accurate. He explained and I gave him a go. Then you get some companies who write good references a) to avoid being sued b) because they want the person gone. It's a massively mixed bag.

another backward thing. if you hire someone for their services, you don't tell them I'll pay you X amount you ask them, how much do you charge. Job salaries/wages should work the same way, for EVERY job.

1. Asking for references is not stupid or pointless. The best (though imperfect) predictor of future behavior is past behavior. 2. If you would like to talk to past employees, there is nothing to stop you from asking.

Why is your political affiliation so important to Americans? Are there no people that just don't like any of them? That think, I'll listen to what they say and vote for the person that seems to have the best ideas to me? Nobody that thinks, 'I agree with the Dems on that subject, but disagree with the other thing. And I like the Reps idea on this, but not on that'?
