50 Times People Missed The Joke So Bad, They Made Fools Out Of Themselves In Front Of The Whole Internet
You know what's worse than telling a joke and hearing the crickets chirp afterward? The moment, when you thought, that someone else was struck by a case of misinterpretation of a joke, was utterly wrong or knew nothing, only to find out, that all this time it was you who was a captain obvious. For these funny people, whose unfortunate stories we have compiled below, it happened in such a hard way that the funny jokes they have missed turned even better after. Let it be proper condolence if it ever has happened to you, too.
From simply missing a classic short joke to firmly believing that somewhere in the world babies do get boiled during a religious feast instead of being submerged into holy water. From blowing best puns to misquoting famous people, these slightly dim-witted folks surely bit nails after posting their comments wanting to appear smarter than they are.
Some of these people need a bit of training in their sense of humor department, while others will need to learn not to jump too high. Nevertheless, it's kind of impossible to go through the hilarious entries without cringing. Scroll down to check out the good jokes before I spoil too much!

I was raised Baptist and they dunk you completely under water. I was 7 and I was terrified.
Terrified that you are going to be eaten, right?
Load More Replies...Since this is purely symbolic...surely there's a more baby friendly way to do this. It's not medieval times!
For many Christians, baptism is more than symbolic. It is a physical interaction with God (anointing) via the blessed water.
Load More Replies...Thought baby was getting buggered... Makes sense if he's being Christened.
This is the inherent problem with the innernets and social media. All about opinions now. I love this. I was sure it was a feast, too.
Wow, how ignorant can you get? The water can't be that hot; there are only three candles.
well, somehow the baby suspects that the water is cold. which is true
This is not a Baptist baptism, it's an Orthodox one, as you can see from the cross hanging from the pope's neck.
This is not a Baptist baptism, it's an Orthodox one, performed when the baby is 2/3 months old. The candles are NOT there to warm the water or cook the baby...
SARCASM!!! I hope you are picking up the sarcasm...cause I am laying it on PRETTY THICK! LOL
The priest be like, "yo bro don't ruin my show in front of everybody"
Somewhere on the Internet is a video of an infant being baptized in an Orthodox Church. Dubbed over the video is the dialogue from the movie the Big Lebowski, the dunking his head in the toilet scene.
Before we make generalisations, the Catholic church in my hometown doesn't do it this way. They do it in a much more comfortable and convenient way. I believe there are many churches in the world that are more humane. (Also, I welcome all your criticisms about religion, but please keep in mind this is a fact regardless of my or your (anti-)religious beliefs, and please, note that I didn't specify anything about my own beliefs *tongue out*)
As far as I know many Catholic churches just sprinkle some water on the head.

I would like to know more about the evidence for the existence of a third bone.
And as I always wonder, since they've had so many Ted Talks when will there be a Ted Listens?
No way!!! This person's humour must have been removed by an evil wizard or something!
The answer by purple7122 is symptomatic for so many discussions on the internet. Many people are so outraged by small errors that they cannot even see the bigger picture or, in this case, the joke. It’s as if his/her brain stopped processing any information after reading the words Star Trek.
I've already posted this somewhere in BP, but what the hell: "There are 3 sorts of people in the world, those who know how to count, and those who don't!"
"Friendzone".... I'm tired of this word. If you act nice toward a woman just to get in her bed, you're not a nice guy nor a friend so, you're just in the "douchezone".
Or you didn't understand the sarcasm of the person responding to your joke?
As an Australian, I can most vehementaly assure you that our toilest do flush in the opposite direction.
My textdoor neighbour has been giving out my number while going out for years... Get some interesting phonecalls sometimes.
We have come to the point that you have to warn people: "What's coming now is a joke. If you're allergic to jokes than skip this section. On the other hand if you're looking for a reason to be offended, do read on."
Truly. And the people who think that their opinion is a must so they respond to everything and analyze it, just like these a-hats on this thread. (Like what I'm doing now :-) Seriously. We need to come up with some sort of icon or emoji that means "don't respond to this, just read it because I don't care what you think" :-)
Load More Replies...Hahahahaha I enjoyed the jokes just as much as the human stupidity tbh XD
Names of those people should not be erased...Just for future reference if anyone stumbles upon them again... :P
I'm autistic and I have a hard time picking up jokes sometimes. So, I can relate to those people! :)
It has always been that way. There was just no way to know it before the Internet
Load More Replies...That's why some people started to use "/joke" "/sarcasm" or simply "/s". Just in case
I know. Some people just don't pick up on that. They would rather be judgmental. They missed your joke, but they think you're the stupid one.

Let's face it: We all came here for the jokes! The misunderstandings are just a bonus! :) I know I did!
I crack jokes all the time and rarely get laughs and have thought I must be really bad at it. After checking this out maybe not.
The only one in poor taste was 22. I mean good won out in the end. The guy trying to make a joke gets 11 likes. The original poster who had a point got over 1000. Just in case this gets misinterpreted though I wanted to point out that even the comments focused more on what she said and not the joke which I assume hopefully was the original point of the entry.
The rest of these were funny but 22 she brings up a good point and it's proven thanks to the comments. There's also a keyword she brings up that I think most people overlooked too. She said "traditional" and that she wouldn't go around wearing anybody's traditional garb without reason even Asian kinds despite actually being Asian. This is important based on what she was reacting to. So the situation goes there's this white girl who was going to prom. She needed a dress so she found one she liked and got it. She had no idea it was a Chinese dress. She has no love for Chinese culture, no desire to understand Chinese culture and only liked the dress because she liked the dress. Then she goes to her prom and somebody told her what she was actually wearing. First thing she does is gather all her friends around to take a group picture where all of them were doing a very stereotypical Asian bow. This is the definition of cultural misappropriation.
Load More Replies...Since I'm not a native English speaker, I really didn't get #6 and #8 jokes. Could someone please explain those jokes?
6. Russian Nesting Dolls https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matryoshka_doll 8. People are criticising the man for "cheating on his wife" when the joke is his family are racist.
Load More Replies...most of the Jokes were'no'are funny ,and some of the reactions were funnier, but after awhile the stupidity was just sad.
Reading through memes (just like this) and there was a picture of Dwayne Johnson in his High School glory. Black turtleneck, gold chain, white pants & f***y pack. He was cradling a good size rock. One lady commented that it was the gayest picture she'd ever seen. Took me a while to get all the soda off my computer screen.
FYI this is almost entirely from the subreddit "whoosh" or "whoooosh," for those who didn't know.
Some of the whoosh comments were rude. Just enjoy the jokes, folks.
Load More Replies...Well, even if there are dumb people out there who can't get a single joke, most of the time these jokes aren't funny enough to be immediatly understood as such. Hint : if you have to explain the joke or explicitly say that it's a joke, it does mean that it either is a bad joke or a not-funny joke, or a joke a three-year old would make ("They named a continent after a Toto's song" ? Seriously ?)
Once back when I was in high school, a person created this webcomic where he included the members of that forum as characters if they requested it. One of the coming soon previews he mentioned was a many paged hentai sequence featuring one of the forum members.(It turned out to be a joke) Sadly, because the member probably was too young to get this, she kept asking when that part was coming. XD!
