Yeah! A co-worker once said i was "weird,messy and slow but in a good way" with a smile but as i tend to overthink (yeah.....) i have spent a LOT of time thinking how you can be those things in a good way. Ofc. Is it even possible, how is it possible, in what way am I... and so on.
So true. My friend was recently in hospital with something serious and she was communicating through messenger. Well I sent a msg and hadn’t heard anything til the next day. During that time I was wondering if I offended her somehow or something. But when I was thinking logically I knew it was because she was having constant tests, sleep8ng, visitors and didn’t always want to message people. But sometimes I just don’t think logically and get butt hurt over nothing.

this is true. sometimes even while watching a movie, music video, tv show...I end up part of it and now I missed what was going on.

Having to say your name and what you do in a group meeting. You rehearse it again and again as they go from person to person. You blabber your piece quickly then realise you were concentrating on your lines before your turn so hard and so relieved after your turn that you didn't hear a word anybody else spoke.

Love the self irony in many of these. Overthinking allows you to analyze yourself to bits, among other things.
that is true, we tend to not need therapy in the form of talking things through to others to get to the place we need to see the answers, because no one gets us there better and faster than ourselves.

I worry sometimes that all these overthinking scenarios will one day in old age confuse me so much into not remembering what actually happened, and what I overthunk into imagining happened, and then I over think that too :P Those nights where you think of ____ at the start of your getting ready to sleep and then it is 4am and you have no idea how ____ turned into _______ and so you reverse engineer your thoughts to find out why you ended up there, and while ______ was a pony and _______ turned into a pink jumpsuit, you can work it out into making perfect sense, especially now that it is 5:15 am. I have also discovered I can justify anything in a pinch, so the moral to the story is... Over thinkers make great Liars :D

Some days I wish my brain would behave itself and think like a rational human being..and then s**t happens and rational brain scampers off without me and stupid monkey brain takes over..

This is the perfect post for right now! Because I've been overthinking my doctors appointment since yesterday, about some medicine issues. and if we have to change one o them, what the consequences that are going to happen? Will I get worse? Will the new medicine work? If not, how many changes am I going to have to make to find the right one? What is I never find the right one, and I'm stuck being "broken" forever. I can't handle this right now!
I tried pot twice and that's what I hated about it - I could feel my memories being erased as quickly as they formed, and it went on for hours.
