I can't imagine why they didn't gun down every last person trying to enter. If the people who had entered had been bent on kiling some congress people and if they congress people hadn't been moved, they could have wiped out half the elected officials of the federal government. There is zero excuse for them not all being shot before it got to that point. When the government is invaded, you fight back, you don't let them take over.

That woman lost any respect for her service when she decided to become a traitor. I did not serve in any of the armed services, but I'm pretty sure they take an oath to protect and defend. She may have no longer been in service, but her followers don't get to roll out that card without taking the oath into consideration as well.

I love the energy of the reply, but I share your views on the content. Ashli Babbitt shouldn’t have been breaking the law and she should have complied with officers. Instead, she was engaging in behavior that caused an officer to fear for their life and safety as well as those of the individuals within the Capitol they are charged with keeping safe. I too am an Air Force veteran, and while I share some of Ashli Babbitt’s views, such as belief in the second amendment, I cannot support lawlessness or attempting to s**t on the Constitution in the name of saving the Constitution.These zealots are no better than the Antifa scumbags and the violent minority of BLM protestors.The argument that chick made is flawed. She says essentially that Babbitt did nothing wrong and people should look at black people who have been shot by police in the same way. You cannot break into a federal building. According to the non prosecuting prosecutors of the district of Columbia. They did that in June of last year with the treasury. I guess those guys could have been shot to death too (after several warnings given from behind a gas mask) and that would suffice, according to you.

No. Trespassing in a restricted building, participating in a riot, trying to impede or stop official government proceeding. She was warned to stop & started to climb through a broken window into a restricted room. Lawmakers & Vice President Pence's life were at risk, & some law enforcement were being beaten & attacked. She was part of a seditionist mob intent on stopping a federal proceeding. It doesn't make it less sad, but that is why. As an Air Force vet, she knew she was breaking the law & she could face deadly force.
