As long as people throw around some questionable bits of wisdom like it's no big deal, we have the unofficial karma police, aka ‘murderers by words.’ Except murder by words has nothing to with violence, weapons, or blood, which makes the act inherently peaceful, yet brutally powerful.
It’s because the fight is fueled by words, but not by any words. I mean witty, well-argued, and solid arguments that pierce straight through misinformation, fake news, and any other online BS that's so prominent these days. The targets can be anyone from Covid deniers to anti-vaxers to flat earthers and extreme right Trump supporters who support the Capitol riots or similar bursts of terror. And when the words come back, they do so with double the initial power.

We now have 50 years of data on "trickle down economics". It doesn't work. It has never worked. We have all the proof we need that not only doesn't it work, the opposite is true - give money to the poorest and it will circulate through a neighborhood or community. Don't forget, before it was re-named "trickle down" it was called "horse and sparrow economics" - give the horse enough oats and it will s**t some out for the sparrows to dig through on the roadway. As someone who used to be poor, It's clear to me that being poor is MUCH more expensive than being financially secure.
In other words: give it to a poor person & they will stimulate the economy by buying goods & paying for services. Give to a rich person & they'll horde it like they always do...
Give $0 to a poor person, let them find their own way to take $600 from a rich person because you've sowed this discord and they've got nothing left to lose.

This person is missing the point of the stimulus anyway. Give $600 to a rich person, and that particular person can benefit from it. Give $600 to a poor person, and he will spend it, stimulating the economy like a stimulus is supposed to. A stimulus isn't even designed for the purpose of helping poor people; it mostly just takes advantage of the fact that they are the best suited for stimulating the economy.

Give $600 to a rich person and it's multiplied by 10X in a few years or less. Give $600 to a poor person, and it still goes pretty straight to the rich person, because that's how capitalism works - the only difference is that the poor person gets something out of it too when you don't give it directly to the rich person.
How wealthy people beg for money while saying poor people don't need it
Rich guy does not need the money so he can invest in risky business and if he loses it, its just small change. Giving it to some poor homeless person can save their life.
And the second person demonstrates why poor people remain poor. Any money they get, they think, "I'll use this money to buy these things that I really need -- like a new big screen TV." People who stay poor buy what they "need". People who get rich buy what they can afford. Sure, if someone was literally starving to death and you gave him $10, he can't afford to invest it, he needs to spend it on food just to stay alive. But fortunately, very few Americans are in that position.
This is a perfect analogy for Reagan/Thatcher trickle down economics.
