Most of the world associate Canada with maple syrup, niceness, and more maple syrup. But the truth is... the country stereotypes aren't that far from the truth, actually. Just with a few extra weird details. Like, super social moose or friendly police officers. Exotic, I know. To give you a better idea about the Canadian stereotypes, Bored Panda has compiled another list of funny photos that perfectly describe the Great White North. So put on your parka, continue scrolling and enjoy.

For more Canadian memes, check out these pictures you probably couldn't take anywhere else.

Here's a fun fact about life in Canada. Canadians like to say "sorry" so much, they passed the "Apology Act" to limit its use. In the past, lawyers in court were probably able establish guilt quite easily. All they needed to do was prove someone apologized at the time of the incident and things would start going their way.

So Canadian lawmakers made it clear that an apology of any kind “means an expression of sympathy or regret” and not “an admission of fault or liability in connection with the matter to which the words or actions relate.”

In The US the swat team would be called out, ten or more dead or injured and the incident labeled a terrorist event.

So would this be classified as police brutality or abuse against a police officer so many charges could be laid (I'm kidding)

I love this....if you were to squirt a water gun at a cop in the US they would arrest you for assault...its sad really that we can't have this great of a relationship with our law enforcement whose literal job is to make you feel safe and trusting of them.

You can have this kind of relationship with us cops... it is just that the world is against them doing their job, keeping all safe while they sleep in their beds... oblivious to the reality of hell occurring in their neighborhoods. So, they have a tough time knowing when someone is on their side or not.

Americans always call BS when I tell them stuff like this(and other fun stuff) happen. The high majority of our police and RCMP/Mounties are decent people. Where I live in Ontario anyway

This is the problem, they win too much but NOT they are competent. And some "doctors" ask" more money for particular "helps". Another problem is that hospitals are full of Medicine students. The only good thing, are the buildings and instrumental,(five stars)but competence of Doctors, I'm not very sure...I'm very dissapointed

We lived in Toronto during the Rodney King riots. There were protesters on the streets, but it was all very organized. Someone threw a rock through the window to my TaeKwon Do school, and almost immediately that person was apprehended by other protesters and a heartfelt apology was given to my teacher along with a promise of compensation. There are always a******s, but in Canada they're not very prevalent... 😄

Probably the Pride Parade...back in the days when the police were allowed to participate, before the organisers caved in to Black Lives Matter--banned the police, fired the white male director and hired a black female....

You won't see this anymore at Toronto's Gay Pride Parade. City officials have caved in to Black Lives Matter demands that uniformed police not be allowed at the parade. BLM feels intimidated - go figure

We have moderately terrible winters in our area (below freezing and snow on the ground for a couple of months), my UPS-driver husband and another UPSer had an ongoing tough-guy contest for about 5 years to see who would finally break down and wear pants instead of shorts. After one especially brutal winter my husband gave in and switched to pants, but only after all the hair had fallen off his legs. I've always told him if you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.
