Most of the world associate Canada with maple syrup, niceness, and more maple syrup. But the truth is... the country stereotypes aren't that far from the truth, actually. Just with a few extra weird details. Like, super social moose or friendly police officers. Exotic, I know. To give you a better idea about the Canadian stereotypes, Bored Panda has compiled another list of funny photos that perfectly describe the Great White North. So put on your parka, continue scrolling and enjoy.

For more Canadian memes, check out these pictures you probably couldn't take anywhere else.

Here's a fun fact about life in Canada. Canadians like to say "sorry" so much, they passed the "Apology Act" to limit its use. In the past, lawyers in court were probably able establish guilt quite easily. All they needed to do was prove someone apologized at the time of the incident and things would start going their way.

So Canadian lawmakers made it clear that an apology of any kind “means an expression of sympathy or regret” and not “an admission of fault or liability in connection with the matter to which the words or actions relate.”

We have moderately terrible winters in our area (below freezing and snow on the ground for a couple of months), my UPS-driver husband and another UPSer had an ongoing tough-guy contest for about 5 years to see who would finally break down and wear pants instead of shorts. After one especially brutal winter my husband gave in and switched to pants, but only after all the hair had fallen off his legs. I've always told him if you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.

I spent 8 years at the University of Alberta and once "spring" hit, my winter jackets were stashed away. Once it was 0 degrees, it was T-shirt weather and maybe shorts. Winters were tough because you needed an empty seat next to you in lecture to store your clothing.

Lol. This is how I am in the winter. My preferred temperature is -15C to 5C. I dont wear shorts. But I always wear tank tops or t-shirts. Drives my mother crazy shes the opposite of me and she would actually put on MORE layers depending on how I come over to visit because looking at me would make her cold 😂

There’s always that one person. Shorts and/or flip-flops year round, even in the worst blizzards and lowest freezing temperatures. I’ve gotten more hot-natured as I’ve gotten older, and suffocate in turtlenecks and heavy sweaters (so don’t wear them anymore), but I am nowhere near THAT extreme,

I grew up in Buffalo and never wore anything more than a long sleeve shirt or a sweater and a heavier spring jacket in the winter which usually was from late October to mid-April. You body does adjust to the cold. Now living here in DC for the last 25 years it can be 40 degrees outside and I am in a winter coat.

Must have been a different set of crazy UPSers, as far as I know the only people who knew about my husband and his buddy were their customers and the rest of the local UPS employees. It's too bad we didn't think about making it public at the time, it could have been a great way to raise money for a good cause!

My son would probably do that too. He wears shorts all year round, today is 11degrees Celsius (approx 51 degrees Fahrenheit), pouring with rain and extremely windy and he refuses to wear pants.

When you’re used to the dampness of Ontario winters, I lived in Northern Ontario in the winter, the winters out west were pretty much better. Didn’t feel as cold. I went hiking at minus twenty and took my coat off at lunch time. It was nice in the sun.
