Most of the world associate Canada with maple syrup, niceness, and more maple syrup. But the truth is... the country stereotypes aren't that far from the truth, actually. Just with a few extra weird details. Like, super social moose or friendly police officers. Exotic, I know. To give you a better idea about the Canadian stereotypes, Bored Panda has compiled another list of funny photos that perfectly describe the Great White North. So put on your parka, continue scrolling and enjoy.

For more Canadian memes, check out these pictures you probably couldn't take anywhere else.

Here's a fun fact about life in Canada. Canadians like to say "sorry" so much, they passed the "Apology Act" to limit its use. In the past, lawyers in court were probably able establish guilt quite easily. All they needed to do was prove someone apologized at the time of the incident and things would start going their way.

So Canadian lawmakers made it clear that an apology of any kind “means an expression of sympathy or regret” and not “an admission of fault or liability in connection with the matter to which the words or actions relate.”

Every single time a see a dead creature on the road I want to cry—they were just going about their little skunk/gopher/raccoon lives and now they’re bio-waste on the roadside.

One day I was going to work with my mum and we witnessed a dead cat in the middle of the road. I asked her to stop, because I wanted to move his little body. The poor thing was still warm. I putted him in the bushes and some flowers on it, the road wasn't his place. I returned him to earth.

My earliest childhood memory with my father is of him digging a shallow hole in the ground to bury a sparrow. He explained to me that God is always watching over the universe, and He is sad when even an animal as small as a sparrow dies.

I live in america and I saw a dead dog on the side of the road. I'm 16. I bawled for four hours and made a small memorial for it, it had been dead for a while. I'll never forget that image. And half an hour before I went home, a nice couple parked their car in the grass and talked to me and let me cry into their shoulders and offered to take me home.

I am known to be late from work, because i pick up dead rodents from the path. I return them to the nature and also have silent moment for them. Dont want them to be run over by bicycles or cars. Also earthworms and snails, i carry them to safety :)

I get upset every time I see a dead animal. If there condition looks even marginally viable, I stop the car somewhere safe and walk back to see if it needs a rescue.

The whole point of this was to shame the Public Works Department, that took over 24 hours to remove the dead animal. https://www.boredpanda.com/dead-raccoon-memorial-shrine-mourning-deadraccoonto-toronto/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic

I did this to a mouse- after my friends cat killed it. I was at a sleepover, and we found a mouse outside. We put the mouse in a little box, and even drew a mouse and put the drawings by the mouse. Finally, we covered the box with leaves.

Please remember this little fella is already decomposing. So you folks who put dead critters out of the way so little kids can't get to them...good work. But this racoon should have been bagged and the city called again.

Oh my goodness, there are tea lights and a portrait and signatures on cards! Meanwhile, after narrowly avoiding a black racer snake on the road one day, I watched the car behind me purposely run it over. It was awful.

This makes me so sick. NOT one person took care of it. I would have used plastic bags, paper bags, anything to use as gloves if need be, and put this poor creature off to the side discreetly. and say a little prayer for it. This animal did not die a natural death!

We have moderately terrible winters in our area (below freezing and snow on the ground for a couple of months), my UPS-driver husband and another UPSer had an ongoing tough-guy contest for about 5 years to see who would finally break down and wear pants instead of shorts. After one especially brutal winter my husband gave in and switched to pants, but only after all the hair had fallen off his legs. I've always told him if you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.
