“Why does this always happen to me?” we like to ask after the encountering first world problems and tiny mishaps. Well, it doesn’t. Coffee spills and power shortages happen to everyone. To remind us that the universe doesn’t have its favorites, London-based artist Natalya Lobanova draws funny comics about universal everyday struggles we face and the annoying people we meet, and she’s doing a darn good job, too.
“I’ve been making drawings and webcomics since 2010, but funny cartoons are the entirety of my work,” Natalya told Bored Panda. “I am also a painter, illustrator, and animator. For me, comics tend to be fun side projects I occasionally make. They are, however, the stuff people like best, because they’re the most relatable!”
“None of my funny comic strips are about my life specifically,” the artist added. “I tend to focus more on universal feelings that I believe everyone experiences, usually of existential angst! I deliberately avoid drawing myself in comics, which is why sometimes I resort to an amorphous blob-like person, as I see that as a sort of ‘anti-character.'”
“I tend to complete things super quickly and try and put a point across with the minimum amount of words necessary to capture the funny thoughts.”

The slipping socks in #1 are annoying on the scale of a mosquito whining near one's ear just as sleep comes. Especially when the footwear is a pair of gumboots, and they're stuck in mud, and the socks are solidly bunched up at the toe ends... That's when the universe can be heard chuckling perversely at its own joke...
Maybe I should change my name from night owl to nocturnal gremlin. I love them. (I just wish I could comment under each of them here instead the links sending me to instagram - it took me a minute to realize what's going on, at first I thought I clicked wrong or it was some kind of coding mistake or something)
I can definitely relate to #5. My bladder is quite naughty, and occasionally can't resist leaving a drop or two in my panties when I'm just 10 meters from the bathroom. I do my best to hold it in and set a minimum time between potty breaks, but now and then I have to wear a pad just in case.
That one is so me. I drink 6 ounces of water, then I pee a quart. How does that work? Lol

I tried to click the add comment buttons way too many times. I will sitting here in the corner with my dunce cap on. I hate the sock thing though, it is pure torture and should be outlawed.

I love the nocturnal gremlin. I wear long socks with my boots so that they can't suck my socks off my feet. Leg hair helps with the necessary friction to keep socks up.
