I’m with Max, libraries are a great place to be, mostly kind people, softly spoken, mice eating nibbles dropped by munching humans will be dealt with quickly and quietly, so all that’s lacking in a basket, loo, grub and water. Whàt is the problem? P.S. yearly vet-check, I’m sure readers will donate.
Max is like the dinosaur and cannot read it himself so he enters. He is faster than the people who try to stop him.

I know a bookshop plagued by pigeons that would welcome a Max to dissuade them from wandering in the door. All he'd need to do would be patrol by the front doors, steal lunch from the cafe staff and curl up with the booksellers during lunch and breaks... Maybe two Max's would be needed to keep up with the heavy patrol & cuddles load!!

Last year near Valentine's Day, my library had a display of wrapped books. It said "go home with a blind date". The books had the genre on them and a vague description.
