Dramatic Horse Pretends To Be Dead Whenever People Try To Ride Him

Dramatic Horse Pretends To Be Dead Whenever People Try To Ride Him

To paraphrase Aristotle, we as human beings can achieve happiness by perfecting our natures. That means embracing and refining who we really are inside. And it sounds like great advice for every living thing, not just people. However, one silly horse is too busy horsing around and probably forgot to go to its Philosophy 101 classes.

A dramatic horse named Jingang has greater ambitions than being a mere steed. It doesn’t seem to appreciate being ridden by others as a horse should. Instead, it goes out of its way to avoid doing its job. Jingang the horse pretends to be ‘dead’ in an overly-theatrical way. It’s silly. It’s funny. And it’s proof that some animals would rather laze about than earn their carrots like we do — by the sweat of our brows.

Not all horses enjoy hard work…

More than 82,000 people liked Frasisco Zalasar’s compilation video showing the horse avoiding its ‘chores’ by dramatically ‘dying.’ The viral video was also shared a massive 630,000 times. Huge numbers like these suggest that people relate to Jingang’s antics. Especially on Mondays.

Most of us don’t spend all day long thinking about horses, which is why it’s easy to miss what incredible creatures they are. Double ‘D’ Trailers collected some fun and unusual facts about our equine friends, so get ready for a ride.

The horse does this because it doesn’t like being ridden

For example, did you know that horses can run within several hours of being born? To me, that is absolutely fascinating. Imagine if human beings could do that.

The next time you see a horse ‘laughing,’ tell your friends that the animal is actually doing a nose-enhancing technique (called ‘flehmen’), which helps understand whether a smell is good or bad.

But it sure doesn’t like hard work

Furthermore, horses aren’t colorblind like people used to believe a long time ago; however, they see purples and violets better than greens and yellows.

It really is ‘cute but naughty’

And if you’re ever in doubt whether a steed is male or female, look the gift horse in the mouth: if it has 40 teeth it’s male, and if it has 36 teeth it’s female. Arm yourself with these fun facts and go impress your friends.

Why is it their "job" to be ridden? Horseriding used to be a necessity when we didn't have any other form of transportation besides our feet, now they're mostly just used for money and our own pleasure. Great. This horse is not being a drama queen. It obviously feels uncomfortable Bering ridden and doesn't understand why humans are jumping on its back and making it run and jump over things. I actually think the horse is being perfectly reasonable

I am tragically shocked at this article lacking in any empathy or knowledge for/about equine in particular and animals in general. The article is in it’s entirety unevolved and unethical lacking all empathy, though overwhelmingly egocentric and narcissistic. FYI - 1)The Horse (not any other sentient animal) willing applied for the job of being turned from a freedom loving sentient being into a slave vehicle for the egocentric 2) As mentioned by one informed commenter, the poor horse could have a known neurological disorder related to narcolepsy. Though the greed and ego of those that enslaved him/her most likely never had a vet neurologist exam the poor horse. 3) All horse suffer both physically and emotionally from being ridden 4) Links to medical evidence http://www.bitesizevegan.org/bite-size-vegan-nuggets/main-nuggets/horse-riding-cruelty-effects-of-the-bit/ http://www.bitesizevegan.org/bite-size-vegan-nuggets/is-horse-riding-cruel-is-it-vegan/ Shame on boredpanda

I had a friend who owned horses and I would often help and play with them (yes, play! horses play!) One took a liking to me, and me to him. One time we were riding at a full sprint (really fun BTW, once you learn how to) and the horse decided to suddenly stop. I of course flipped over the front of him and had the living hell knocked out of me. At first I was just trying to catch my breath, but I just lay there after. The horse thought I was really hurt and started nuzzling me, at which point i gave him a huge hug. He was so relieved and started prancing, proud of himself for the joke. Not one I liked mind you, but it fit his humor! Really, if you get the chance and can afford it making friends with horses can be very rewarding, and very challenging if you get a stubborn one or don't click. And they truly are friends.

Had several horses that would inflate themselves whenever we tried to saddle them. 1 cranky mare that would fake a limp, and I swear, she would snarl sometimes. 1 horse would also mess with the farrier by slightly leaning on him, and keep in mind that horses typically weigh over 1000 pounds. A little bit of that is still heavy. Horses can have some real personalities if you spend enough time with them.

A clever horse- but I hope it's just being funny or sarcastic and not resisting crappy treatment in a relatively peaceful way instead of kicking or biting. A neurological issue or pain in its back might be the problem, too. I wonder if it happens when someone tries to get on without a saddle? I can't imagine not thinking about horses every day. I have since I was a tiny little kid! Also, a much easier way to figure out if a horse is male or female is, like with most mammals, to look between their legs. Hard to tell from that crotch shot, though, because it's so blurry. :)

You get on him and he would prop. you could do anything but he would not move. When saddling him he would pull the saddle and blanket off and spit out the bit. he could not be told where to go if you wanted him to turn around he would spit the bit and wander off for a feed.

Riding a horse is just as emotionally damaging to the rider as the horse

What better sign do we need to know that horses don't like being ridden? There is no need to ride them - we have bikes, cars, our own feet. Why make him do the work? He isn't a machine, it isn't his job and he never agreed to do it. He was born into human captivity and people are forcing him to do something he obviously doesn't want to do. Does that sound a little too close to slavery for comfort?

That horse has been trained to do that. Watch closely - the trainer pulls on the rein and pushes the horse in his shoulder. It's not funny or fun for the horse. It would be like someone pulling on your face to tug your head around then shoving you to knock you over when you're off balance.

Total BS... it's a trained behavior- and not "naughty" from the horse, it's a stupid and dangerous thing that the trainer taught him.

I"m amazed that people are all up in arms in the comments about people swimming with otters who can come and go as they please, yet have no problems with people physically climbing on a horse that doesn't want that to happen. All the people questioning this post have been severely voted down. That makes no sense to me at all.

Whisper in his ear - we are going to have a barbeque and horse meat is the main dish.

That's hilarious. Now stop riding that horse, he doesn't like it.

Total BS... it's a trained behavior- and not "naughty" from the horse, it's a stupid and dangerous thing that the trainer taught him.

Yeah well, if someone put a curb bit in my mouth I'd throw him off too. Those things are f*****g painful and can cause serious injuries.
