An only child to artistic parents, Momoa was destined for a life of creativity. He has been at various times a model, lifeguard, painter, writer, director as well as an actor, and studied Marine Biology after high school. Well-traveled and with a diverse background (his father is Hawaiian while his mother has German, Irish and Native American genes), Jason is indeed more than your average Hollywood clone!

I was wondering if wearing a beard was in the contract for the little guys or not! But to all the naysayer saying he can't fight for real, just a dumb actor, blah blah blah blah blah: how do YOU know anything about him? I'll tell you straight up that I don't know anything about him except he looks hot with a small waterfall flowing over his chest.... AHEM!! Sorry, got side tracked. I do know that some, and I don't have sign in sheet, but some actors DO take.martial arts classes or individually just so they can protect themselves. And to keep up those bodies is girls adore so much!!
While martial arts is a combat sport, it's still just a sport. combat- actual, honest and real combat- is a totally different kind of fight. The kind without prohibitions because it would be difficult to maintain a league if half the competitors wouldn't return from each bout. and this ignores the fact that these guys are most certainly armed.

Uhm - because a person with great self-defense skills doesn't need to worry about the size of the person attacking them??? They all get knees, elbows, and bodies broken just as easily. In his PRIME - Schwarzenegger would have a knee destroyed with about 23# of pressure. You could drop on your ___ if he (others) came behind you and tried to get you in a headlock, grab the ankle behind, and sit back sharply and throw them on the ground and/or destroy their knee in less than a second. It's skill, not size - although a larger, stronger person of equal skill would be the likely victor.

UFC fighters have body guards as well, because it turns out tough looking dudes get challenged all the time by guys who want to prove that they're tough too. It would get tedious fighting all of them, plus Jason would have to be constantly on the lookout for a sucker punch or being stabbed by a broken bottle.
Jokes aside, his body guards would be highly trained in combat and most likely armed. Jason is an actor, and I highly doubt he has the skills to defend himself properly. Any martial artist will tell you, the big trees fall the easiest.
