If you've ever worked in an office, used municipal buildings or lived in a city, chances are, you already know what public notices are — bland, dull, usually complaining and rarely funny posters that tell us somewhat useful information about all kinds of things. For a prankster, though, street signs or a note out in public is an easy opportunity to get a guaranteed audience for their smart jokes. When the note is a passive-aggressive complaint about something petty, the urge to give an appropriately hilarious response or make an office prank out of it must be downright irresistible!
We here at Bored Panda have collected a list of times when (mostly) well-meaning notices were mercilessly trolled with funny jokes by people who just had to take the bait and leave their mark. Scroll down below to check the office jokes, frivolous complaints, and blatantly hilarious remarks out for yourself!

I feel for the person who wrote the original note tho. Pot smells absolutely horrible and I hate it when I go to social events and someone decides to start smoking pot inside. Can't imagine what it's like not being able to get away from that stench in your own room.

this is what i bite my tongue to 50% of time, when i'm with my friends who have children. (the other 50% of time i do to "shut the f**k up before i beat the hell out of you, brat")
We make excuses for the violence in our culture, and especially in our media, by telling anyone upset by it that they're being a pussy. This kind of horror tv series is not "the realities of life" And I believe violent media desensitizes people and makes them less empathetic. I think we should worry less about being pussies, and more about being kinder. Now since no one else who commented agrees with me, have fun ripping me apart.
We don't have to show horror TV images and promote the violence in our culture and call people pussies for being traumatized by the image of an eye being ripped open.
It has nothing to do with promoting violence and anyone who says that about movies, TV, video games, etc. Is just looking for a reason to b***h. Look at the newer game fortnight, you go around killing people and what are kids picking up from it? Stupid dance moves. It's called education your kids from right and wrong and what's real and not.

My nephew is very young, and since his parents left church- he's not exposed to too much religious iconography. However, recently there was a funeral, and my tiny nephew attended it too, I stood behind him in church, and couldn't get around wondering, how terrifying the tall as life and very life like ( blood and all) Jesus on the cross must be.
my neighbors' kids are mean little $h!+s who don't care about anybody else. I'd be more worried about them copying horror movies!
That image traumatizes ME. It's seriously gross. I mean, I don't agree it "traumatizes" me or children, and I largely agree with the note. However, I DON'T want to be forced to see that. It seriously grosses me out, and not something I want to just happen upon. And yes, if I were there, I wouldn't have to look at it in a sense. However, I would have to look at it FIRST before I would know I didn't want to look at it. So, yes everyone who saw it was in a sense forced to see it.
can we please up vote this to number one? i am so tired of all the over parenting going on in the world today! kids simply can not be kids anymore it's not right!
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this an ad for a horror TV series that shows the face of someone being tortured? In what possible way does exposure to pictures of people being tortured help kids to 'simply be kids? I may be an over-parenting parent but I really don't find this kind of de-sensitation suitable (or in any form advisable) for my 3- and 5-year old kids.
Load More Replies...It doesn't need to be a problem if your kid sees scenes from horror movies but the key is that you tell him/her it's all totally fake. Shielding them can make it more traumatizing later, if they see it within your supervision. 'The making of' - video's are a great way to show them that none of the gruesome effects are real.
I think you'll find that 'alien' had a name. they were Xenomorph XX121's, and if you just gave them the time to find out what they were really like I think you'd have found them just splendid creatures, not just Internecivus raptus ["murderous thief"].
1. No it's not. It's toxic masculinity BS ("weak pussy"). 2. Why are you shouting?
Load More Replies...Our parents never shielded us from anything they watched. Scary or otherwise. I think my brother and I turned out pretty good considering. I find it silly when parents are like "oh i cant let them see that." well they may decide to watch it on their own one day so what does it matter?

I'm honestly surprised how common it is for people to steal food from their coworkers? I guess I'm lucky I've never been in that kind of office.
Me too. We have a small kitchen and a fridge for 25 of us. There were never complains that something is missing. That's so rude...
