Duolingo is a language-learning platform that includes a website, an app, and a sociopathic owl mascot that specializes in threatening users to continue their courses. From passive-aggressive notifications after a period of inactivity to visiting your bedroom while you're asleep, it knows no limits. As the owl became more and more confident in its wicked ways, some of the 300 million Duolingo users started creating memes to tell about the times it came hunting for them. And then the next day on the news it said 'Lina Andrews was killed yesterday. Killer is undiscovered and no weapon was seemed to be in use. My.mom, who's an elderly lady who doesn't know so.much about devices and apps has been using Duolingo for learning English. It has been like 6 months now. She was very excited about it at first, now I often hear her yelling at the phone, arguing with the app haha it's priceless xD
