There are a lot of things that are great about adorable dogs. Their fluffy tails. Their soft fur. The adoring look in their eyes when they see you walking through the door. And who can forget about their adorable smiles?

Sometimes it seems like there’s an endless number of subreddits dedicated to showing how cute dogs are. But did you know that there’s one exclusively meant to show off doggo smiles and pearly whites? Now you do. Welcome to the ‘Toofers’ subreddit. We collected some of the funniest photos from this community, all so we can improve your mood.

Scroll down and upvote your fave toothy doggy smiles, and let us know which ones you liked the most and why. Remember to share this list with anyone who loves silly dogs and be sure to check out the ‘Toofers’ subreddit.

The ‘Toofers’ community has over 70.2k followers and invites everyone to post pics of their funny dog with a “beautiful smile, a sill snarl, or an adorable snaggle toof.”

Of course, having a beautiful smile full of white teeth requires some effort on the part of the owner, not just the canines themselves. After all, you wouldn’t expect your doggo to brush twice a day and floss in between meals all by itself, now would you?

Well, Hillspet has some awesome advice to keep your canines’ pearls white and their… canines… healthy. Dogs have 42 teeth and they should be clean, without any tartar or plaque. What’s more, if they’re broken or jagged, then you’ve got a problem on your hands. Meanwhile, your best friends’ tongues ought to be moist and lumpless; their gums should be salmon-pink. Though some dogs naturally have black gums, so looking for warning signs becomes more difficult.

Even if your dog can’t brush its teeth, there’s no reason you can’t do it for it. Just remember to use doggy (not hooman) toothpaste. And it might be a good idea if you don’t share your toothbrush with your pet. There are also some chew toys and treats that help fight the bacteria growing in its mouth and maintain healthy teeth.

Besides that, you should bring your dog to your vet for an in-depth cleaning procedure every one to three years. But food is also incredibly important in dog care: adapt its diet to help maintain its mouth in the best possible condition.

You should consult your doggo’s vet if you notice that it has unusual lumps in its mouth, inflamed gums, or has halitosis (what we call morning breath, yuck!). So, dear Readers, how do you take care of your dog’s mouth and teeth? Care to share a few tips? If so, drop us a line in the comments.

Police dogs and military dogs loose the four fangs they have from biting the bad guys. Its then replaced with titanium fangs.

This is a working dog, most likely US military. Check out the cropped ears to prevent pinna ripping during service work. The titanium canine implants aren’t to look threatening but to replace or protect the underlying bone structure after repeated impact injuries to the canines, the longest and strongest gripping and ripping teeth in the mouth. These dogs are trained to practice like they are really in a combat situation, so even regular practice can cause damage to the canines. To keep these highly trained dogs in service and to protect the overall investment of countless hours of selection, training and handling, the titanium teeth become important if needed. The highest risk to patient is repeated anesthesia to implant and maintain the titanium teeth, which will be more likely to fall out with impact.

I know it's just the angle, but the size of the nose almost distracted me from the titanium teeth lol

It's a police dog, like Ronald said, they lose their real teeth during work and they get replaced with titanium ones.

<> Biologist discover proof of the priceless pooch,The Furry, Moray Blue Eel. This juvenile was uncovered in its native Lapland, but sightings include Bedland, Futonia, The Couch Republic and the Archipelago of Laundry. Unlike it's cove dwelling, marine cousin, the Green Moray, the "Furry Frenchy" Eel is extremely playful and social. It prefers interspecies hierarchies and human ats. However, both species share physical traits like powerful, compact muscular anatomy that allows them to wiggle free from ANY restraint. Equipped with razor sharp, dagger like "Puppy" teeth, this juvenile's bite can be as dangerous as his larger cousin. Both species are highly intelligent. With a stubborn streak and a single minded play drive, the Frenchy Eel is the apex Puppy,. The Green Eel can be dangerous, it's not typically deadly to humans, the same can't be said of the Blue Frenchy. This juvenile can release enough toxic methane to stun or kill all life within 1,000 sft
