You need universal healthcare in Australia, everything that lives there either has sharp teeth, too many legs and is hungry or a kangaroo will kick your face off ;)
Are You Going To Save Me?
If things like this actually granted common sense the internet would be a much happier place.
Load More Replies...I never wanted to accept that people like these existed until I personally knew a man who wouldn’t let his wife go through chemotherapy because it went against his religion. She finally did it but it was too late. He was furious with her and didn’t talk to her until she passed away. Yes, people ARE that stupid.
Ugh. Reading that literally made my chest clench. I can't fathom having that poor of a relationship with my wife.
Load More Replies...Yes prayer helps. You prayed for help and God sent you someone who can heal your child. You can be a Christian and not be stupid, it's possible come on.
No it was the hospital that sent the doctor. God does not excist
Load More Replies...It ought to be illegal to put children's lives at risk because of some weird religious rules/opinions/belief. In reality, it translates into severe child abuse.
If prayer really worked, all kids would spontaneously recover from their maladies.
Sometimes I feel bad for laughing at these people. Not often. But sometimes.
Some religions really believe this. What about the old saying, God helps those that help themselves? Some people really are idiots.
You really can’t rely on a Sky Guy to fix all of your problems, especially when it concerns someone medical conditions. You just can’t. God is not going to fix someone, medicine is. See, this is why I loved science so much as a kid! Maybe I should be a scientist, although I currently don’t know what I want to be...
This is so stupid buuuuuuuuuuut Challenge: Someone make something on BoredPanda that doesn't make all christians look like anti-vaxxing idiots. Becuase...I don't like how inaccurate that is.
This happened to my friend.. Her parents refused to let her take medication for the killer flu. They believed God would save her.. She died 1 week later.
Why do some christans have to be such idiots and put all of us in a bad light.
Load More Replies...The type of Christian Scientist that don't care about the health of their child.
Load More Replies...Yeah right. It only goes to show how stupid you americans are
Load More Replies...Quite dark, but true- there are those parents out there, unfortunately...:-(
The lmao would not be what the doctor says or thinks. Hopefully the thing out of their mouth is the description of the neglect this child is getting.
If her mother feel that she can't do anything, maybe praying or talking with other people or whatever could help her to feel better. And a mother feeling strongest, with hope and more balanced can indeed help the little girl. The job and obligation of the hospital staff is to cure the girl, not being stupid with clients, ill people and their families.
Did you even read the title to this picture? The doctor answers the child: "I, as a doctor could give you medication and you will cure, but your parents have decided against that because they think prayer will cure you. And I know it won't so you'll die." You probably never understood Dark Humor or Sarcasm.
Load More Replies...not really funny and unfair- you wont hear this from the most christians (at least in Europe and Kenya where are I practised)
why is the kid smiling? she was just told she was going to die?! but really this is a problem and even if people belive in god they also need to belive in common sense
I was a healthy child and was not given drugs for every little complaint. In fact I was given no drugs at all. The best gift my parents ever gave me -- I'm much better for it.
while I agree that parents should not drug their kids up for every little headache or cold or whatever... the truth is that there are things which *require* medication, and if you had any of those diseases... you would not have been, if they had chosen to refuse said medication.
Load More Replies...Actually every pHARMaceutical drug is toxic and causes biochemical damages. None has ever CURED any disease. Chemo is a 97.9% death sentence for 5 yrs - don't believe me, look up the Journal of Clinical Oncology from 2005. MDs do the exact WRONG thing for stomach acidity issues over 99.9% of the time. Most folks have LOW stomach acid which makes digestion very bad and causes gas. Gas forces acids into the esophagus which still can't handle the weakened acids. Increase stomach acidity and digest better - heartburn etc goes away. 700,000 gall bladder surgeries in the US every year - mostly for pain and bile issues. Both of those problems are due to problems in the LIVER - not the gallbladdler, but now you have to take meds for the rest of your life because the MD has no training in biochemistry. Alzheimers and other myelin sheathing issues are being cured & improved with ketogenic diets including medium chain triglycerides - no drug helps. No need to go on, statins, SSRIs, arthritis
If prayers helped a lot, plague wouldn't be so deadly during the mid ages when almost everyone was a believer. Next time you're sick, don't take meds or go to a doctor. Pray it away.

When your parents are Christian doctors so the “Thanking God only” memes don’t make sense... dw, we always make sure to thank the doctors as well. After all, they did perform the operation
Well, some religious people don't give the doctor any credit.
Load More Replies...Ha! Didn't know dark humour was allowed here :P While normally I'm not a big fan of it, some of those made me laugh out loud and it does actually make a refreshing break from all the "and it went viral" "and the pictures will change your life forever" "it will make your heart beat faster" "people can't believe their eyes" "the internet is in awe" etc around here. Dark humour has its place as long as it's not intentionally malicious and you don't take it too seriously.
This is spot on. I appreciate you taking the time to put this out there. Everyone sees things in their own way, and some see this as just completely inappropriate, but it is not done with malice. If there is no malice and it can help someone laugh about the problems they have then it is dark humor. Sometimes dark humor helps. Others it doesn't.
Load More Replies...These are jokes, people! If you don't like jokes, Don't read memes!
Some good ones but if a BP employee wrote the untagged ones, don't lower yourself to appeal to knuckleheads with that textspeak and poor use of English. I come here because it's actually got some substance. Thanks.
I feel like I have permission to laugh at these because of my medical problems...
I found quite some of them disrespectful to ill people and in general to not medical staff. They all live in XIX century, where other places you hear people telling each other "hello, doctor", "how are you, doctor?", "well, doctor",...
Natural Herbs have cured so many sickness and diseases that drugs and injection cant cure. I've seen the great importance of natural herbs and the wonderful work they have done in people's lives. i read people's testimonies online on how they were cured of Herpes,Stroke,Hiv,gonorrhoea, Diabetics,Cancer,Lyme disease etc by Dr. Ameola herbal medicine, so i decided to contact the doctor because i know nature has the power to heal anything. I was diagnosed with Herpes for the past 8 years but Dr. Ameola cured me with his herbs and i referred my aunt and her husband to him immediately because they were both suffering from Hiv and they were cured too. I know is hard to believe, but am a living testimony. There is no harm trying herbs. He is also a spell caster, he cast spells to restore broken marriages and a good luck spells to prosper and excel in life. In some european countries we are also fighting against the word that medical stuff give to the people that go there: patients???!!!! Well, it's a word that mean "waiter" and we are smart active people, not a thing athat only stands there and wait when a "doctor" can touch him/her, ask whatever and do WHATEVER without asking before nor explaining everything and giving options. Is this staff who is working for us.
Which part of Europe are you from? Patients are different from patience, it is not the same word! In the parts of Europe I live and have visited, most people are extremely grateful to medical staff for their hard work in difficult circumstances. I have never experienced anything like your description of standing like a piece of furniture while a doctor does “whatever” - that’s NOT normal!

If it's absurd to be grateful to God for a successful operation, because your gratitude should all go to the doctor, than by the same reasoning, it's absurd to be grateful to the factory workers who built your new car, because your gratitude should all go to the salesman who handed you the keys.
Pretty certain this would be considered a fallacy if you posed this argument in a debate.
