The pandemic has taken over the world and while health professionals and government authorities are working tirelessly to keep people as safe as possible, they are doing their best to make a difference as well. Washing their hands, social distancing, and creating jokes about the situation online, of course. It's one of the most popular coping mechanisms, helping everyone to handle their pandemic-related fears and anxieties. "The more we laugh at something, the less scary it looks," one board game developer has said.

From poking fun at our online orders to a moment of silence for our ever-worsening hairstyles, Bored Panda has collected the best coronavirus jokes this week, and for those who can't get enough of them, check out our previous compilations: part 1part 2part 3part 4part 5part 6part 7, and part 8.

Unfortunately, we can't eliminate stress and anxiety from our lives. Especially during these uncertain times. We can, however, develop skills to manage them. "A sense of humor can be an amazing line of defense when it comes to coping with stress," Elizabeth Scott, MS, who's a wellness coach specializing in stress management and quality of life, wrote in Very Well Mind.

"Developing a sense of humor about life's challenges is a great place to start," Scott said. "A sense of humor will help you to build resilience to stress as well as improve your overall physical and emotional health. It will also enable you to bond with others, look at things in a different way, normalize your experience, and keep your relationships strong."

So, if we're already doing everything in our power to get through the pandemic, chances are that joking about it will only make things better.

"When you're in the middle of a difficult situation, it can seem overwhelming. Taking a step back, however, and viewing your situation as an observer can help you see your situation with a new lens. This is called reframing—and it works," Scott said.

Truth. The real question is: "Are we going to do anything about it?" Step one would be to vote out Trump, Mitch, and the rest of the GOP come November.

I'm currently reading the book. It is brilliant. A good one for lockdown as it's 895 pages!

Far as I recall it reopened once, and that wasn't really a reopening since the original park never really went into business. And then it ran successfully for years - at least long enough for people to get *bored* with dinosaurs! - before another incident occurred.

No. He wasn't. He's an imbecile and so emotionally-r******d that he can't even take responsibility or ownership of the things he says. Trump believes that personal integrity is a flaw.

Don't know what that kid on the lower right is doing in this list. Compared to the others, her hair is practically red carpet level.

It still looks terrible, especially on a kid. So regardless of whether it's not as bad as the others, it's still bad in general.

Can you post pictures in comments? I have this awesome photo of my mom’s haircut in the eighties and I feel like I am now required to share. It’s horrific in the best way possible.

we all are. I think I saw her picture previously on awkardphotos.com. I never noticed what she was wearing, just that her smile & hair, both had it's own glow so to speak.

Isn't the boy in picture number 2 Leonardo DiCaprio? As a kid, I mean? I'm sure I've seen that picture before...? Or maybe it was a joke that it kind of looked like him?

lmao top row third from the left, how we thought that was popular.... Supplies needed: teasing comb, curling iron and minimum 2 gallons of aqua net. Step one: take bangs, separate top half place in curling iron horizontal. Spray with hair spray wait till sizzle stops, carefully slide iron out, repeat for bottom. Tease top half and spread like peacock. Just like a peacock the bigger the feathers the more popular you are. Set with half a gallon of aqua net hairspray. To achieve the side raptor look: tease with comb until desired angle / height. Spray with 1/4 gallon of aqua net. repeat on other side using the remainder 1/4 gallon of aqua net. Open new can and spray all over before leaving the house. :) you're welcome

This is too real. My mom used to cut my two youngest sister's hair. No matter how hard my mom tried, the poor girls ALWAYS ended up with a mullet. On the bright side, it was the 90s.

This joke presumes that Trump can actually read and understand words that have more than two syllables. He finished reading the first word and then got stuck. Now he's just looking at it to try to convince people that he's reading.

I worked at Blockbuster in the late 90s right out of high school. I am so thankful this didn't happen THEN...although I doubt we would have been deemed "essential"
