The pandemic has taken over the world and while health professionals and government authorities are working tirelessly to keep people as safe as possible, they are doing their best to make a difference as well. Washing their hands, social distancing, and creating jokes about the situation online, of course. It's one of the most popular coping mechanisms, helping everyone to handle their pandemic-related fears and anxieties. "The more we laugh at something, the less scary it looks," one board game developer has said.

From poking fun at our online orders to a moment of silence for our ever-worsening hairstyles, Bored Panda has collected the best coronavirus jokes this week, and for those who can't get enough of them, check out our previous compilations: part 1part 2part 3part 4part 5part 6part 7, and part 8.

Unfortunately, we can't eliminate stress and anxiety from our lives. Especially during these uncertain times. We can, however, develop skills to manage them. "A sense of humor can be an amazing line of defense when it comes to coping with stress," Elizabeth Scott, MS, who's a wellness coach specializing in stress management and quality of life, wrote in Very Well Mind.

"Developing a sense of humor about life's challenges is a great place to start," Scott said. "A sense of humor will help you to build resilience to stress as well as improve your overall physical and emotional health. It will also enable you to bond with others, look at things in a different way, normalize your experience, and keep your relationships strong."

So, if we're already doing everything in our power to get through the pandemic, chances are that joking about it will only make things better.

"When you're in the middle of a difficult situation, it can seem overwhelming. Taking a step back, however, and viewing your situation as an observer can help you see your situation with a new lens. This is called reframing—and it works," Scott said.

Truth. The real question is: "Are we going to do anything about it?" Step one would be to vote out Trump, Mitch, and the rest of the GOP come November.

I'm currently reading the book. It is brilliant. A good one for lockdown as it's 895 pages!

Far as I recall it reopened once, and that wasn't really a reopening since the original park never really went into business. And then it ran successfully for years - at least long enough for people to get *bored* with dinosaurs! - before another incident occurred.

No. He wasn't. He's an imbecile and so emotionally-r******d that he can't even take responsibility or ownership of the things he says. Trump believes that personal integrity is a flaw.

"Look what I've had to do because of you, damn hoarders. Just LOOK" 😂😂 At least, that's what I think when I go for groceries. Masks were impossible to get since February, so I sew ours.

🦅🇺🇸🌵🇲🇽🍁🇨🇦☘️🇨🇮🦅🇺🇸 Hat on top of scarf on my head. Long jeans, long sleeve cotton shirt, bandana over my nose and mouth as well as sunglasses to protect my eyes. What's the big deal? I dress this way to harvest grapes and cherries. All those pesticides are hazardous to ones health. Everyone else working is dressed the same way.

What about those of us crafty people who sewed up their own face masks? That should be on there somewhere.

I haven't realized (until I saw this chart) how uncommon it is in the US to sew yourself one. It's become the national hobby, in the Czech Republic in the past few weeks so my option isn't really there.

Mom and I went to the grocery store the other day; I had a homemade mask with Pikachu nose and cheeks, and Mom wrapped a sweater. Where are those on the list?

This joke presumes that Trump can actually read and understand words that have more than two syllables. He finished reading the first word and then got stuck. Now he's just looking at it to try to convince people that he's reading.

I worked at Blockbuster in the late 90s right out of high school. I am so thankful this didn't happen THEN...although I doubt we would have been deemed "essential"
