The pandemic has taken over the world and while health professionals and government authorities are working tirelessly to keep people as safe as possible, they are doing their best to make a difference as well. Washing their hands, social distancing, and creating jokes about the situation online, of course. It's one of the most popular coping mechanisms, helping everyone to handle their pandemic-related fears and anxieties. "The more we laugh at something, the less scary it looks," one board game developer has said.

From poking fun at our online orders to a moment of silence for our ever-worsening hairstyles, Bored Panda has collected the best coronavirus jokes this week, and for those who can't get enough of them, check out our previous compilations: part 1part 2part 3part 4part 5part 6part 7, and part 8.

Unfortunately, we can't eliminate stress and anxiety from our lives. Especially during these uncertain times. We can, however, develop skills to manage them. "A sense of humor can be an amazing line of defense when it comes to coping with stress," Elizabeth Scott, MS, who's a wellness coach specializing in stress management and quality of life, wrote in Very Well Mind.

"Developing a sense of humor about life's challenges is a great place to start," Scott said. "A sense of humor will help you to build resilience to stress as well as improve your overall physical and emotional health. It will also enable you to bond with others, look at things in a different way, normalize your experience, and keep your relationships strong."

So, if we're already doing everything in our power to get through the pandemic, chances are that joking about it will only make things better.

"When you're in the middle of a difficult situation, it can seem overwhelming. Taking a step back, however, and viewing your situation as an observer can help you see your situation with a new lens. This is called reframing—and it works," Scott said.

Truth. The real question is: "Are we going to do anything about it?" Step one would be to vote out Trump, Mitch, and the rest of the GOP come November.

What’s amazing is hundreds of companies scramble to let people work from home when we damn well could have been doing that all along.

If Trump gets reelected in November, that should do enough to finish the job.

I was actually shocked to discover that the US has approx 1/3 of whole worlds covid-19 cases. The amount of people with positive cases of Coronavirus is almost double the population of my whole state. Yet there are people rallying/protesting in the streets to stop isolation etc. I am so lucky that I live in a country where cases are as low as they are. In SA we have had ZERO new cases in about 6 days. The total amount of positive cases is 438. Even though it is very low many people are still not sending their kids to school, including myself. At least for the next 2 weeks and the we will reevaluate and make a decision. Sorry I went on a bit of a tangeant.

Confirmed cases though. I’m sure China has way more that they’re not testing, or not telling the world

Isn't it astonishing how morons from the Oval Office through state and local politicians are trying to blame OBAMA?

1/3rd of the country feels it all about them- me! me! me! 2/3rds of the country is trying to stop the spread, since they realize it's not about 'them', it's about 'we'. WE"RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER! As an RN, I think what is so scary about this virus is how contagious it is. Even the flu doesn't spread this easily. You don't think it's real, till it hits your friend/family/neighbor. Some of us have taken on the moral character of Trump, which is the hell with the rest of you, it's all about me..Selfish and self centered... One fallout that may happen after this pandemic calms down is how many health care workers will quit. They're going through a 'war' of sorts, and then to see idiots want to open things up is very disheartening. Keep that in mind the next time you watch those protestors.

That was nice of the WH to give his blessing for the government to fulfill their sworn obligation to UPHOLD THE U.S. CONSTITUTION.

Far as I recall it reopened once, and that wasn't really a reopening since the original park never really went into business. And then it ran successfully for years - at least long enough for people to get *bored* with dinosaurs! - before another incident occurred.

No. He wasn't. He's an imbecile and so emotionally-r******d that he can't even take responsibility or ownership of the things he says. Trump believes that personal integrity is a flaw.

This joke presumes that Trump can actually read and understand words that have more than two syllables. He finished reading the first word and then got stuck. Now he's just looking at it to try to convince people that he's reading.

I worked at Blockbuster in the late 90s right out of high school. I am so thankful this didn't happen THEN...although I doubt we would have been deemed "essential"
