You realise that's still no different from the pagans praying to the gods behind their statues right? Besides, it's not only the statues the catholic church is doing wrong. In fact, just taking sundays as Sabbath is a sacrilege.

Why else would all the disciples besides Judas Iscariot die or be exiled for their belief. They made no money out of this. Woah hold up. That’s just not true, there are over 19 sources outside the Bible that talk about Jesus. For reference we only have three sources of Alexander the Great. Additionally the Bible wasn’t written by one dude, it’s a collection of letters and testimonies. So it’s not a question of did he live? But a question of is he God? Additionally, your point of families may be fairly true today but definitely hasn’t been true historically. Think about it, if it started with just a few hundred believers and now has over a billion adherents there had to have been tons of converts. To add to all of that, Christianity when followed in a biblical way, is vastly different than other world religions. I’m not trying to attack you, I just think it’s important to educate yourself before you say something untrue. (Especially in sensitive areas like religion.)

Prayer is thanking God and Jesus for what they did. The cross holds no special power. What has the power is the faith that it occurred. And the birthday is just a guess and that is well know. They also didn't live for 154 years their timelines are different than what we use now.

As a once practicing catholic, I would always see pictures of holy members of the bible (ie Mary statues, ones of Jesus on the cross, etc) not only everywhere in churches, but such objects in people's homes. Growing up we had things like that in appreciation and veneration, as you mentioned. I think they serve as reminders of the sacrifices such characters in the bible endured, and to give thanks and prayers. Looking at a statue, as depicted in the comic, is just a visual of their God above. Just a thought! As others mentioned, it's one of the funniest of comics imo as well. God promised us life and salvation. Not a perfect life or sadly even a home. Life does that and is the consequence of free will. And it took me 50 years to remotely understand that. The ones that can help here in earth would rather spend millions in cars and houses when that would feed an entire country. They worship money.
