Comic artist MadeByTio is a very efficient storyteller. They need only 4 panels to express an idea. However, the simplicity of this format doesn't mean the situations are simple too. The content is a healthy mix of the ordinary and the extraordinary.

One comic might be about our messed up postures and the next depicts sentient lobsters boiling people for supper. Either way, they're direct, borderline offensive, and most importantly, funny. MadeByTio has a knack for mocking the absurdity of our world and constantly comes up with new, unexpected ways to do so.

Lobsters aren't red until they're cooked tho'. Unless these are extremely rare exceptions.

You can painlessly (really) euthanize your shellfish before cooking. They don't need to be cooked alive. I started doing this after cooking live clams many years ago. And, no, I am not going to get into an "argument" on BP with vegans, so save your keystrokes. I won't engage w/vegans again until they are honest about their role in animal abuse...

Yah. Many still think animals exist solely to be our food. Not just lobsters

Well lobsters have the worst lives. They know nothing but an overcrowded glass tank. Then they are chosen and boiled alive. Wow and this isn't illegal or even considered animal abuse by some.

so real... shame on me that I like so much this food, and cowardly don't think at the scary cooking part... other people made it for me, but is terrible.

The common practice is to pierce the back of the brain with a thin skewer. Quick and cleanly. Better than torturing the poor thing, eh.

This is stupid. It's not a question of if an animal feels pain. It is a question of how they interpret it. More specifically, are they cognitively aware of it. Consciousness is a spectrum. And we humans are constantly battling with a very human problem that we think too much and out of context, as attested by numerous gurus and specialists all throughout history, hence our somewhat unique, though not entirely unshared, experience of pain. To liken our experience to that of a lobster in this way, or vice versa, is in no way realistic, and utterly infantile. This is an animal that tears the limbs off another of its species as a mating rite. Would they do this to a human? Without a first thought, let alone a second... I am not trying to condone it, but the attempt to equivalise two such disparate things is f*****g idiotic. And the fact that such a way of thinking is so common causes to wonder how we are not ourselves at the bottom of the food chain.

After we invented the crustastun, they should invent the humanstun. Oh wait they don't need it, the humanstun is the year 2020, we wouldn't feel a thing if they boiled us right now.

"Thanks to my older brothers who are way more talented than I am, I have been drawing and sketching my entire life," MadeByTio told Bored Panda. "I started to create webcomics in December 2016, when I was addicted to Imgur and really enjoyed various webcomic artists [whose works would appear on the platform]."

After giving webcomics a go, MadeByTio immediately knew it was something they liked. "I loved and still love the idea that you can express so much with four little panels, that you can make people think about different topics, or simply bring smiles to their faces," the artist explained. "I bought the cheapest graphic tablet I could find and just started drawing."

MadeByTio's former roommate and them were having a blast coming up with new comic ideas, no matter how "stupid" they thought they were. "One day, I created a Facebook page and an Instagram account and started publishing my comics on them. That was the beginning," they said.

Pretty soon, MadeByTio started one of their most popular mini-series 'How Your Brain Works'. It debuted in 2019. "To be honest, many of these situations have happened to me personally. That was the reason why I drew the first 'How Your Brain Works' comic. The one with the coffee hurt a lot."

That is one of the hazards of making coffee when you haven't had any yet.
