29 Funny Comics By Polish Artist Verauko
What's the secret to becoming a successful creator? Developing artistic mastery, generating more ideas, having excellent social media presence? Try all of them. And if you need an example, Natalia Trykowska (also known as Verauko) is the perfect one. She's a very productive Polish graphic designer/digital artist, based in London, United Kingdom. Her commercial projects aside, Verauko is regularly drawing comics as well, and they have already earned her nearly 48K Instagram followers.
"I try to vary the topics as much as possible, whatever comes to my mind first gets illustrated," Verauko told Bored Panda. " That's why sometimes you'll see me drawing real-life situations, and sometimes some random imaginary mermaid problems. There are absolutely no limitations when it comes to themes. The only topic I would preferably stay away from though would probably be politics, since my knowledge on that matter is very limited and I'd much more prefer to draw stuff that brings people together than divide them."
Over the years she has dealt mostly with graphic design and digital drawing. The former is a result of Natalia's work experience in advertisement while the latter is a form of passion that has been following her since she was a child.
For Natalia, coming up with the idea is the hardest part of the creative process. "I'm lucky enough to have a good imagination when it comes to visual stuff, but when I have to come up with a story, my mind often turns blank," Verauko added. "That's why majority of my comics are everyday life "problems", e.g. naked butts randomly showing up on the streets or nervous laughing fits at coffee shops - all of those silly, random situations actually happen to me and that's why I draw them." Natalia said that working on the drawing is relatively easy when she finishes developing the idea.
And her expertise shouldn't come as a surprise, since Verauko took her time developing it. She has a Bachelor of Arts from the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology. Scroll down to check out her comics, and upvote your favorite pieces.

Believe me, it's really great spaghetti. The best ever. The meatballs are yuge!
Thank God that in India you have both.... I can manage to stay in that position tho. I must say that it is even more healthier than the modern ones.
Surprised the cleaners once in a Beijing department shop for being a westerner coming out of a stall that contained a squat toilet. Ye get used to em...I had to, the university I was at only had western toilets in the international block.
The toilet are the Zen Zone for some of us and the only time of day to relax and READ SOME COMICS in peace.. if I wanted to do some squatting exercise I either go to the gym or picking up the kids' lego! And btw, I don't wanna be the poor sucker clearing up THAT toilet after someone having diarrhea (ränneskit)
It takes much more effort and leg muscles to keep yourself floating above the western type toilet while doing your thing (in no way I'm touching THAT with any part of my body, especially my bum!) than to keep yourself above the eastern one, shown here.
Been there, done that. It helps if you're to drunk to be embarrassed.
There were many toilets like this when I visited Hong Kong. I had no problem with them (I was only 15 at the time), but my mother refused to even try due to her bad knees. There were also some toilets where you were handed the paper by a woman with tongs before you went into the stall; pity if your number 1 was a surprise number 2!
Only thing is it's harder for white people to do the Asian squat our heels raise instead of staying flat. I have seen it tested and it's always more difficult, you can prob do the squat w no problem if you've been doing it since childhood
Actually, you can do both. It's just all about flexibility in the joints of your ankles and the joints connecting your pelvis and legs. I grew up in western society and have trouble squatting with my feet flat. But I stretch and try to keep my feet flat on the floor when I need to squat. It works. It just takes awhile because you're training your body on a new mobility skill.
Load More Replies...Lived in Japan for five years. If you could feel the porcelain, you were doing it wrong.
Yes, usually there is instruction pasted to remind visitors.
Load More Replies...I found that in an emergency, most handicap stalls have western style toilets
I know that the artist of these comics is Polish but this comic reminds me one time when an American transfer student visited our class at school. She told about her and her country. At the end of the class everyone could ask questions. The first question was: 'Do Americans really sleep with their shoes on?". I don't remember what she answered but then we had a long discussion about wearing shoes indoors because in my country (Finland) it is not polite to wear outdoor shoes inside someone's home. :D
Do not be in the middle of a drink when seeing this one, my laughter made my drink barely miss the keyboard and now my nose stings.
What is so cool about the Oktoberfest? I live here and i haven't been to Oktoberfest in years. Its boring. There are to many people. Everywhere is vomit.. idk. I don't like it
Great art and ideas! Only wondering why does mermaids preoccupy the artist so much :-D
I was wondering that, too. But....tbh I found the mermaid comics refreshing. There are only so many "relationship" and "cats are jerks" comments I can take.
Haha right
Trueeee!
I dunno I like them and maybe she just likes them? Oh, or maybe for Mermay
Amazing
These are so funny. I love the facial expressions
I love her art style
The most critical "secret" is luck.
Nope, just a mixture of talent and hard work

Gawd, yet another poorly drawn, non-funny, lame comic on BP. I guess we found BP's niche market - sorry BP.
Then it's not your kind of humor, if not click away, not like you have an ounce of creativity in you Vonskippy.
Vonskippy is so rude, I bet they couldn’t draw anything like these comics if they practiced art for 5 years lol
And did your Magic 8-ball tell you that? You have no clue, none, zip, zlich, nadda.

Yeah, these comics are far from funny. It's not like the artwork is bad, it's perfect for comic related work. But not a single one was even remotely funny.

sexist bullshit
What part of it exactly genius? *Eyeroll*
