We might think that we have it all figured out but we don't. Life is insanely complex and it's constantly messing with our heads. That doesn't mean, however, that we should give in and obsess over every thought we have. On the contrary. From time to time, it's quite healthy to turn off your inner computer as well. And Elliott Fairweather knows it. Elliott lives in a small town in Delaware in the United States and spends his free time creating absurd webcomics with dark humor undertones that make fun of what it's like to be human. They might sound complex but believe me, these relatable comics are brilliant in their simplicity.

"I started casually creating comic strips a couple of years ago," Elliott told Bored Panda. "As a corporate middle manager of little note, I’m someone who grew up and got boring. Writing and drawing Dogs on the 4th helps give me a much-needed outlet. My first strips were sketched out alongside notes I was taking in business meetings, and I would try to flesh them out at home when I had the time; which was absolutely never. Eventually, I started using my phone (and finger, now a stylus) to do the majority of the cartoon drawings and I’ve been more consistently creating content since."

This five second rule must be a cultural thing...I had never heard of it before before seeing some memes.

"I try to capture the kind of odd, quirky things a person thinks about while stuck in the same depressing commute every day of their lives. The sort of beats in time that make us chuckle internally and are immediately forgotten. Dick jokes for the coffee stained masses."

If you're a fan of this kind of dark comics, you might also want to check out the work of War And Peas or Mike Organisciak. "But when it comes to comparing yourself to others, Elliott said that "what separates my funny comics from the others out there is that I have sex with clouds and they don’t. I mean, I don’t personally have sex with clouds but I have a joke where a guy and a cloud have sex. It's slightly not safe for work."

"I’m still learning about all of this as I go and find my voice," the artist added. "I just hope my crap makes some people smile."

We have a 17 year old cat (had him since he was 9 weeks old). Every time he's sleeping really deeply and not moving, we tend to watch for his chest rising and falling, just to make sure he's still breathing. He's really spry and energetic for such an old man, but we know he can't go on forever. It'll be the saddest day in our household when Baz goes.

Oldest cat made it to 38 so could be a while. I will hope for you. I do the same breathing-watch with my dogs.

lol..waiting for a spoken reply from a cat is less deadly than taking hold of kitty's arm and checking for a pulse.

For those of you who have had a cat or another pet die, I am sorry for your loss. My cats are old (like 16) and I just get worried a lot about one day I’ll wake up and they’ll be dead. I know they can’t live forever but I really love them.

I have a hamster named Sheldon and he's three years old hes gonna die any day now. I check every morning and night and pet him and make sure he's comfortable. I get the gut feeling he's going to die in his sleep, though

Next pane: "Only in 10 years you will finally discover that you can download adult flicks without paying for them...if I tell you now how to, you will save enough to finally pay back your student loans."

I am curious about the following pane, although I am afraid it might have an "parental advisory" overlay.
