No matter how successful, cool or elegant we are, we all have our days or brief moments when our common sense and dignity bid their farewell to us. Blame it on your brain having a fart, on Mercury in retrograde, on waking up on the wrong foot, it doesn’t change anything.

Sometimes we are all clueless, hilariously naive, and shamelessly embarrassing. So if you just did or said something stupid, we want to give you a big pat on the shoulder and tell you that you are not alone.

Below we wrapped up the list of images featuring people lost in the cloud of their brain farts, so scroll down. Also, be sure to check out more clueless people caught in action in Bored Panda’s previous features here and here.

While we can’t tell the reason that made these people act they way they did as seen in the images shared in this post, we can all agree on the obvious: it’s that humans are sometimes bold and unreasonable.

Luckily, the internet is a perfect place to celebrate these funny occasions. Just like the miscellaneous corner of Reddit known as the “What Could Go Wrong” community, which has been demonstrating examples of “what not to do” since 2013.

Previously, we spoke with the creator of what is now a Reddit powerhouse that boasts 7.2 million members. The creator who goes by the nickname Peanutbuttered told us a while back that in a perfect world, r/whatcouldgowrong wouldn’t exist because people would know what is smart to attempt and what isn’t. “But since that’s not the case, at least, we hope the subreddit can help to prevent an injury or save a life."

“My hope is that people who are thinking of attempting a stupid stunt will rethink their decision or maybe recall a post they saw on /r/whatcouldgowrong. Then they’ll think, 'maybe I should not do this,'” the redditor said.

But bold actions we all sometimes do without thinking twice about them may have to do with our lack of sense of actions and consequences. This may be deliberate or not, since some people struggle to control their impulsivity.

Another reason may be the fact that we live in the age of instant gratification. From social media to online shopping, the ability to get what we want with the click of a button has eliminated the need for long-term planning and consideration of the potential consequences of our actions.

Our culture has become one of immediacy, where people are more concerned with the short-term gratification of their desires than with the long-term consequences.

I was working on a commercial (makeup artist) and we were filming outside all day. I was walking around putting sunscreen on all of the actors and one flat out refused it and said that he never uses it and never burns. Guy ended up frying and blistering and getting heatstroke. Hopefully he learned from that.

You think this guy got to the point of being able to live on his own before he was responsible enough to take responsibility for learning basic household tasks? Yes, his parents should have taught him. But, by the time he reached this point, it’s his fault, too. He was old enough to get himself into that kitchen, ask questions and help out 🤷🏻‍♀️

Honestly, this is why I started making my son cook 1 dinner a month for everyone. That and a little lesson on how hard it is to cook for picky people(he was the pickiest person I've ever met until his friend convinced him to try chicken on the bone, something he always avoided. Now he's trying everything he never would, afraid he's been missing out on a new favorite)

I do that too but only for my chicken. I put marinade and spices on the chicken and put veggies on the tray under so the grease drops onto the veggies and it's DELICIOUS!

Perhaps his only exposure to cooking meats was by using a BBQ grill, and his only use for an oven while growing up was to cook pizza (which most instructions say to put directly on rack). Even so, cousin's comments are hysterical.

The world has all the collective knowledge of mankind in a simple device that can be kept in your pocket, but people still just go forth and do things with zero knowledge on how it's supposed to be done when all they had to do was pull up yt on their phone and ask, "How do I cook a roast?" People are too lazy to even do that anymore.

My husband probably could have been the blood and grease guy. When I had surgery and he had to start cooking for himself he insisted on making a pizza on the rack because there were instructions on the Digorno box. Do not do that in my cheap oven. Use the giant cookie sheet pan with a grated insert. Same outcome on the pizza and the pans fit in the dishwasher.

I knew a woman who popped a frozen lasagna out of its container onto a cookie sheet before putting in oven. Couldn't understand why it slopped off the sheet onto the element. Entire house filled with smoke. She sent a nasty message to the company, demanding a new oven and reimbursement for the cleaning service. Then she told us her woes during a game night. She unfriended all of us. ☺

Did this cousin never make chocolate chip (or whatever kind they like) cookies from scratch when they were growing up? Pies? Cakes? Muffins? What about at the grandparent's house, if Grandma or Grandpa liked to bake and have the grandkids help? Is that not a common thing families do? I have so many questions.

When they do get a baking sheet finally they will probably put it on the bottom rack and the meat still on the top rack to "grill it". Probably say in a message again, "well the baking sheet helps a little catching it so it isn't as long to clean the oven like it was before. Any more tips?"

I would immediately question why there was blood in the oven. I wouln't think in a million years that he was just putting meat right on the rack. I thought he was terrible at cooking and would burn and or cut himself hence the blood.

On a larger scale, this lack of consideration for the consequences of our actions has led to environmental degradation and climate change. We have failed to take the long-term view and instead have focused on short-term gains, leading to a situation where we are now facing the consequences of our actions.
