50 Of The Most Brilliant Comebacks Ever Screenshotted, As Shared On The ‘Clever Comebacks’ Twitter Page (New Pics)
Comeback refers to a quick reply to a critical remark which basically shuts down the critic immediately. The best comebacks are always a step ahead in restoring karma, defending the accused ones, and making that snap which is entertaining to anyone who witnesses it.
And since experiencing a real-life clapback which is both fun and witty is somewhat rare, we turn to the internet, or this Twitter page, to be precise, to give ourselves a masterclass in savage comebacks.
Named “Clever Comebacks,” the page is busy sharing exactly what it promises in the title and from 75.5k followers, it seems like it’s doing a pretty good job. More masterclass comebacks from the same account can be found in our previous feature right here!

Call the fire department, thats is not a burn, thats a frikking forest fire....
In a previous interview, Bored Panda spoke with Abigail Paul, an actress, standup comedian and improviser who has been giving seminars on incorporating theatre techniques for purposes beyond the stage to schools, businesses and organizations.
Abigail argues that the secret to any comeback is connection. “If you are really listening to (and connecting with) another person, you are taking them in fully, aware of who they are, the context in which you are dealing with this person,” she said.
if the shoes are long enough that takes care of social distancing
They forgot to mention the historical forcing conversion to Atheism through torture and/or being killed...
And being the richest land owners and not paying tax and forcing their views into government laws. The list could go on and on, thank god (no pun intended) that more and more people are turning away from religion as time goes on!
Load More Replies...Atheists only say anything when some religious person tries to ram their belief down peoples throats
Some of them do. I’ve legit had people tell me that they are an atheist as the first thing about them and I’m like cool, great for you buddy
Load More Replies...When I was younger I had two older male coworkers who would go out of their way to make rude comments and come up with excuses to talk about how atheist they were and how stupid I was for going to church and how much smarter they were because I was so stupid to fall for Christianity. Like they would legit call me on the walkie talkie to pull me away from a customer just to show me a book or something they could make a snarky comment on when they could have just done nothing. I literally never once brought up religion on my own and only told them I went to church because of a scheduling conflict. They were such a******s.
There are obnoxious atheists, like there are obnoxious people in every community, be it a country, a sportsclub, a place of work, a school or any religious group.
Load More Replies...Funny how religion isn't something I tend to think to discuss generally given I don't tend to think about it as it has no role in my life whatsoever - the only time I will tell someone I'm atheist and don't believe in religion would be in response to them havering on about whatever their religion of choice is - then they expect you to justify why you would reject the idea of their god.....but yeah, totally atheists who go on about it the whole time
The one that gets me is when people try to prove their point using bible scripture without first trying to establish the credibility and authority of the bible, like they think that should clinch it to everyone, regardless of their background or beliefs. Also, why do so many Christians equate belief in God with belief in the Christian God specifically?
Load More Replies...Nah nah nah, I thought Satan was the Atheist god! ;)
Load More Replies...Well at least Christians in the US don't get mad when their symbols and rhetorics are removed from official secular spaces and documents.... oh. wait.
The funniest thing I've ever seen was of a young man from New Zealand, complaining online about Mormons waking him up at eight on Saturday mornings to tell him about Jesus. So he went to Salt Lake City, had a name tag on his suit and Origin of the Species under his arm. He went door to door. Most people were relatively polite. An old man chased him down the street with a broom, and a young woman with several very young children invited him in. Personally, I think she was just happy to talk to an adult. Anyway, the video was about twenty minutes long, and absolutely hilarious. Before anyone gets into a snit, I'm Mormon myself.
I attend meditation class in a Buddhist temple. We have a few Christian classmates. Their minister introduced them to this class. They simply do not participate in bowing to the statue at the end and that's it. This is religious tolerance!
I’m agnostic, but I believe anyone has the right to their own religion. As long as it doesn’t hurt anyone.
uhu??? and what does these atheist things look like? I'd like to know, so i can look for them, as they seem quite rare and hard to find..
I left the Mormon church about a year ago, and I still feel the anxiety-inducing knee-jerk impulse to go to random people and talk to them about really personal things. I assume it's the same with other faiths. The indoctrination runs deep.
Ron Reagan, Jr. likes to tell everyone. He never missed an opportunity to use his public platform to do so when his father was POTUS.
This guy is either so obnoxious about their faith that people tell him that to leave them alone or he is surrounded by more atheists than he thinks.
I just had a old High school friend reach out after 17 yrs. Invited me to church. Said no thanks Im an atheist, then she proceeded to send weird messages about some soul paths. I responded with a thumbs up she waited several days to send something else but before I could read it she unsent it. Then I sent a ? Waited her to read it and then I unsent it. Two can play that game. Lol
The lovely Buddha statue my neighbor gave me has been working quite well to ward off the Jehovas witnesses
I always go into alien rant with door knockers. How we were genetically engineered.
I am a Christian in a Christian school for context: every time an atheist joins the class, they start up some big drama about how we have false hope and we should convert to atheism. EVERY TIME. And not one of us is shoving OUR religion in their face, but they make sure to get the point across. I do know that lots of atheists and people of other religions can be very kind and respectful! Treat everyone like a human being. Unless it’s literally an animal (that probably won’t kill you), then treat it like royalty :)
converting to Atheisms? He's an idiot. Atheism is not a following or religion. it is the lack of religion. What a derp stain.

In fact, we aren't even always aware that we are always sizing up other people. “This is too often because we are so focused on ourselves.” A great comeback feels great because it was earned, Abigail argues. “It was spontaneous. The commenter was probably really listening. It was unique to that moment, set of people, situation,” she told us some time ago.
Yeah, that’s because we’re so.... I can’t be bothered to finish that sentence 🥱😴
One of the biggest challenges in saying a comeback is making sure it doesn’t sound mean. But Abigail reminds us that a comeback is not a clapback. The latter one “is generally sarcastic, but a clapback might be fun among friends.”
At the same time, the context of a situation always matters. “In working on status exercises in improv, we try to get people to see that the easiest way to raise another person's status is to lower their own. We see that in standup comedy too. Usually it works best if the comic is the butt of the joke, not the audience. (There are plenty of exceptions.)”
And also, expecting them to be happy is first of all sexist, and also dumb because how would they be happy when so many problems plague femalekind, like pink tax, groping, jerks like this guy, etc. Today in my bus some guy apparently pulled up the shirt of & touched this girl in her private parts. That girl is a 4th grader, and that guy is that age or younger! (my school goes from Nursery to 12th grade).
Haters gonna hate. Potatoes gonna potate. Karens gonna talk to a lawyer about suing an underage child. Something tells me there's more than just hairstyle why kids call that karen, karen.
While you don’t need to be too self-effacing for a good comeback, if it can lift other people up, the job is done. “When it works well and gains the speaker a laugh and cements the bond that says, we are in this together,” Abigail explained.
While comebacks can be used as an excellent communication tool, listening skills are the most important thing. “Paying attention, making accurate observations about the people in the room, and how they feel—these are the tools that will make a comeback really shine,” Abigail explained.
My granddad died of Parkinson’s so it would be a slap in the face for me if a cure is discovered now

I get so mad at this, if the rest of the clothes turned back, why didn’t the shoe? And also if the shoe didn’t turn back when it fell off, why didn’t she take off other things so they would stay?

Frank Zappa once said when you reduce a concept to a bumper sticker mentality you are in deep s**t. Lots of snappy comebacks though.
Yeah I feel like I saw all these before. Here. On BP.

Including all the religious posts, seems you just wanted to start a thread on bulling 😂 man, this comment section was harsh! edit: why the down votes? I never said I didn't agree with it, only stated the bullying.
Your consideration is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
